If his story is accurate undoubtedly the dealership did not tighten the bolts. However, this very same incident of not securing the wheel happened to my wife many years ago. After driving off she heard a clicking noise coming from the rear. My wife, who knows NOTHING about cars, knew enough to bring the car right back to the dealer. Sure enough they did not fasten the lug nuts on one rear wheel. She said they blamed it on a faulty air gun. As far as this guy, I say they both bear 50% responsibility.
I disagree, if a dealership emails a customer telling them: "I will make a move that will put you in trouble in your address" "I have enough power to make you understand" then it wouldn't be abnormal to make a video about the situation
Dammit! That explains why I can't find the Sonata forum! Point being regardless of the video being on Ferrari Chat (which makes sense) if it was a Hyundai dealership there would not even be a video made- If a FERRARI windshield wiper fails its national news- Somewhat hilarious at times
Agree- But nobody would watch it- The fact it has "Ferrari" (or could be Lamborghini) in it makes it more "interesting" - No surprise- Just an observation
Because you brush your hair when you go to your job- When you spend your day making YouTube videos no need *Yes I realize people make a lucrative living making YouTube videos...
What a dramatic *****. Only a huge vagina of a man would continue to drive a car with those issues going on.
Honestly, I think it's at least partially his fault. Yes, the dealer made a mistake and didn't tighten the bolts enough. However, based on the video he presented, he had multiple times where he noticed something wrong, and decided against better judgment to continue driving the car. He even mentioned that he noticed the problem getting worse. Surely at that point at least a phone call to the dealer or a mechanic is in order to figure out if it's safe to continue driving. He was pulled over at some point before the catastrophic failure, inspecting the car himself after the problems got worse, and not seeing anything visually wrong.
He made the situation worse than it should've been by ignoring all the signs that he clearly noticed. You can take it up with the dealer on compensation for the situation after they fix the issue. Why even take the risk? These are expensive cars and intentionally ignoring signs of failure and driving it until it breaks is not really a good course of action, even if it is originally the dealer's fault.
Take the recent dealer visit out of the equation for a second. You experience issues with the car, noticing that it's getting progressively worse, and eventually having severe vibrations/shaking. You guys are telling me that you would continue driving your cars in that scenario despite obviously having an issue somewhere? Okay. There is no doubt that the way that the dealer handled this issue was completely ridiculous. I don't deny that.
I didn't see where the guy actually "exposed" the dealer. So...........from where I'm sitting..........fake news.
My issue is this- Fine- Attack the dealership- But his insipid statement as to "another reason not to buy a Ferrari" is just stupid- Why attack a legendary Marque because of one incompetent technician and one apparently poorly run dealership. That's like attacking Makers Mark because you got a ****ty Old Fashioned and the bar owner didn't comp your drink.
Correct! What he should say it's another reason why he shouldn't own any car. He's too much of an idiot to keep driving a car that's making progressively worse noise. What a dope!
As a matter of curiosity, do F cars still come w a tool kit? A lug wrench? Could the guy have simply tightened them himself? And yeah. He's an idiot for continuing to drive the car.
Seems like the guy has a California. There is a tool kit, but nothing suited for tightening a lug nut.
