Another old Chicago building landmarked and will be restored. Built during the Terra Cotta crazy Chicago in the 1920's. 1925, Jens J. Jensen, 1535-41 N. Pulaski Rd. You can run down Chicago but you can't beat their old stock of buildings in any other city besides NY.

I was recently in a similar building. They are very old on the inside. To preserve the facade you would have to do a total rehab on the inside. Building new might be easier.

They will replace the 2 buildings with and open lot, not a new building.

New rendering from Related of 725 W Randolph in Fulton Market. Fulton Market's first 700 footer. It has gotten alot wider at the base. This is an office building with a pool.

From this angle with all the new building you can barely tell it's Chicago other than Sears Tower on the right.

Chicago looking east taken this month showing alot of the Fulton Market projects starting on the bottom of the photo. They chopped off the south loop and the row of new skyscrapers on Roosevelt Road. 1000M Michigan Avenue is on the far right starting to head up. One thing I can say for sure, Democratic controlled cities have alot more skyscrapers.

Closer photo showing Roosevelt Road high rises on the right, the taller one in over 800 foot.

One of the many streets I love in Chicago, Cermak. You see an endless row of buildings like this from the turn of the 1800-1900 century. The bottom stories have ugly newer storefronts but the rest is still as it was 125 years ago other than the windows. Shame is they keep tearing building like this down. Chicago still has some amazing 100 + year old architecture remaining. You won't see much of that in newer American cities.

2700 W Cermak Rd. (formerly 1293 W. 22d), Chicago. Built in 1893 the year of the Worlds Fair.
