More information. They have confirmed the Ferrari 1/24th F1 collection starting in December 2022!!! This is the second series of F1 in 1/24th offered by Hachette IXO. I expect to see IXO also release some of these under their new 1/24th F1 line. Can't wait for the 1/24th Lemans winner collection to start also.

Sneak peak of the 1/24th F1 2022 Ferrari model from the Ferrari 1/24 collection video. I bet it has more detail than most of the diecast 1/18th models and all of the 1/43rd models.

Strong rumors that they will do the Lemans collection along with a Ferrari race car collection in 1/24th scale. They are duplicating their 1/43rd collections in 1/24th scale.

One more shot or the 1/24th Ferrari 156/85 not yet listed. It will also come out in the regular Hachette 1/24th F1 collection in a month or so. Not bad at all for a "diecast model".

I am caught up with the Hachette 1/24th F1 collection. The Hachette 312T4 is really nice, although the FPPM kit has better wheels/tires and a superb motor with photoetch skirts and parts. But the Hachette body is very nice along with the very well done wings wich I think are better than the FPPM T4.

The 1/24th Hachette Mercedes W196 has a good body as run in the 1955 Italian GP, with a shorter wheelbase than the French GP 1954 car FPPM did. I do not like the silver on the Hachette W196 so I will repaint. The wire wheels also will get replaced. I also noticed the engine cover is not 100 % correct and will need some work.

I think Hachette seems to like the 1970's and 1980's cars best, and it shows as they are the best models. The Lotus 72, 78 and Brabham BT46B still are the best, but all the other 70's-80's cars are close behind. They also did a great job on the Brawn and many others, I think depending on how much they liked the car:) The Alfa 158 also has a great body, perfectly shaped.

FPPM will be coming out with a 1/24th Mercedes W125 full kit soon, but this 1/24th NEX by Welly model looks good. Replace the wheels with FPPM 1/24th hand laced wire wheels and tires and add Pattos Place decals.

You are making these very tempting, can you post some detailed images of the suspension? My hesitation is the concern the pieces have to be oversized, to avoid shipping damages and handling.

Oh, this is the first time I heard about FPPM. I've checked their site, and they have some cool models (AAC 815 and Ferrari 125S in 1/24? I need them!).
Do you have some experience with this models? What is the quality of those models?

His FPPM wire wheels are ready to install on your models and are pre painted and assembled. His kit's are resin and designed for advanced modelers. They do require cleanup but can be built into very nice accurate models. He is talented and for example, his Bertone 250SWB kits capture the look of the car almost perfectly.

Well, I don't have any experience with the resin models. I've done some plastic kits years ago (mostly planes and ships, only two cars), so I'm affraid I don't have skills to do it well :(
From what I've learnt resin models require a lot of piling and polishing, and the paintjob should be done with aerograph....
They are not so expensive as Alpha models, but still it would be shame to screw it up...
So, I guess I have to wait for Bburago to come up with something new. So far I found that they will release the Purosangue in 1/24 in 2023 . No word of 296, 812 and Daytona SP3 in 1/24 so far...

Meanwhile I have finally bought Danbury Mint Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, which is pretty nice distraction from usual Bburago 1/24 quality :)

Here is Danburys diecast compared to very old Bburago: Image Unavailable, Please Login

I made some decals for it, but I guess I will have to make them again, correcting the size a little bit...
