    A friend needs a good DUI lawyer in the San Jose area. And no it isn't me, it is actually a friend. The story is long with a lot of twists and turns but suffice to say: he has a prior, done a bit of time, is on a lot of prescribed meds, and blew a 0.0. BUT they took him downtown and did a blood test, charging him with a DUI.

    He doesn't have a lot of money but can pay a reasonable amount. Any suggestions for a very good DUI lawyer who isn't too expensive would be appreciated.

    My son got a DUI in Marion county Oregon, blew 0.0 twice...they still charged him. No weed present, nothing. 5K later to an attorney, back and forth with DA saying she'd do things that wern't admittable at trial, and finally attorney convinced her she'd lose. Dropped the case but horrible. How do you blow a 0.0 twice, no weed or drugs found and still get a DUI? They towed the car....had to justify the tow and charges....terrible experience for my 24 yr old son. If he'd done it, he'd take the licking but was innocent.

    Blackie Burak-the best in the Bay Area. Forget about saving money. The long-term cost of a conviction far exceeds any savings on a cheaper attorney.
