Indeed, I have seen a few 812 C in the US, not that many, but there are some.

Second hand/First hand market will go down a bit in 6-12 months when more models are available.
After which they always seen to creep up again.
UNLESS the F167 proves to be a truly unique change.....
(but then again, it will have the electronic dash which most seem to dislike, so more points to the 812C!)

Not clear. Nowadays if you sell a special series that early it might cost you the relationship with Ferrari. I have a feeling not so many people will be selling. Also looking at how much tdf prices jumped when the 812C were announced i’m not so sure prices will go down in 6-12 months. Finally if the la ferrari successor is confirmed not to be a v12 both laf and the special series v12 will become more sought after instantly.

Others follow this more closely but didn’t the factory already say the V12 will live on in the special models?

As said before already the one offered for sale thru a rather obscure broker in Zurich, Switzerland, doesn't exist at all.
Said broker has confirmed that the car hasn't even been built yet and that's why he is unable to supply a serial number.........

    You guys have fun........!!

Yes the idea was more to show there were a couple for sale around a similar price point with one or two added to the list around that price although i appreciate the one in Switzerland isn’t real

Was told yesterday by a sales person at an AD that a new 812C coupe sold for $2m. Seller was a person that didn’t mind nuking their relationship with Ferrari.

This is consistent with prices of a few cars advertised currently in Europe. I posted that link a week or two above. Time to go “mine at best” on every tdf for sale out there. Once the market digests the value of the 812C the tdf will get a massive boost( and in my eyes they are more special and beautiful + rarer)

For all TdF owners out there I certainly hope so, but isn’t that information already priced in to the TdF prices?

Tdf have been around $1.4/1.5mm for the past year well at a time no one knew competizione were selling for 2mm usd. If anything build slots ( not physical cars) were selling for about half million last year so that tells me it’s not priced in. Plus i would find it difficult to imagine a 500/600k price difference between the tdf and the 812C it feels too big a gap.

I don’t have a good feel for what the “gap” should be. The Tdf is based on a car designed over 10 years ago, the 812C is based on a car from 2017. Don’t know if those 5 years matter. I think the F12 being “rarer” is irrelevant, we’re talking 799 vs 999 I think. the Comp aperta is a different model as far as I’m concerned, will be at a totally different (higher) price point. If anything having the aperta being a $2.5m-$3m car may have a halo effect for the coupe. In terms of lines the F12 tdf seems prettier to me although both cars have some unattractive boxy features. I know my F12 was so twitchy to be unpleasant and I believe the Tdf is quite a handful. I have neither seen nor driven an 812c so we’ll see once I do. I got this pic yesterday so car should be here in a month or two I’m guessing.
PS I hope the car isn’t that purple, I’m told it’s just the lighting.

PS: I saw on a sales listing that there were 230 US TdFs, I wonder how many US 812Cs there are.

IMO its jumping the gun with a value thread for a car that's just now hitting the streets. Its irrelevant at what cost someone wants to burn a relationship with Ferrari.

Another 2 812 comp for sale in Europe at about 2.1mm usd ( tax included)
It does seem those cars are trading near the 2mm usd mark

this is a thread about the value of the car. One just sold for $2 million in the US. How is that not relevant I’m not understanding?

We're in the "impatience bubble" right now, people are selling for/buying for ridiculous prices so they can have the newest/shiniest Ferrari. It's highly likely that the price corrects over time.

That being said, if that's what they're trading for that's what they're worth. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next year or two, specifically after the launch of the 812 replacement.

There has always been an “impatience bubble” look at what happened when F40s came out 35 years ago and with even other special car since. In the books of many a “proper” a Ferrari can only be a naturally aspirated V12. If the 812 replacement is hybrid, that’s going to be a big deal. I am sure the NA V12 will be used in Iconas etc but we are much closer to the end of the NA V12 than we are to the beginning. I think Tdfs and 812Cs are going to be in demand for a long time, especially as more collectors are tying to get the full set.
