True. Although i remember the time not so long ago when RHD where selling at a premium to LHD. Some RHD vehicles in the UK are still selling for a lot more than LHD. Supply and demand I guess. When people take a step back and look at those prices and realise how difficult it is to get hold of an 812C and the appeal of the tdf in comparison I can only predict which direction those prices will go. Having half a million dollars discount for the same car between one sold in UK and one in nearby Switzerland imo feels too big of a gap to remain unchanged.

There was one tdf in giallo tristrato recently for sale in the netherlands with 40,000 km. Fair to say that one was driven!! Think it sold for about a million euros so half a million euros lower than a low mileage car.

The estimate feels pretty reasonable if not low.

    Marcel,

Do you consider having Circa 1,000 miles on a 5 year old car driving it?

The ownership in a TDF has two great joys in my opinion.

    1. Looking at it’s beauty.
    2. Driving it.

    Let’s face it.

If extra miles did not affect the resale value then everyone would drive their TDF’s a lot more than they do.

Most F12 TDF owners have more than just one Ferrari (or other car), sometimes five or more.
How many of these can you drive regularly when your day has just 24 hrs and the night?

Agree i would have thought about $200k higher. Is that a strategy on purpose to attract interest?

Agree with you and Marcel… 1.5 seems to be current market. But the economy landscape is changing by the minute.
On an auction, you may be right…people think it’s a steal and then bid each other to a higher price? Certainly got my attention.

I think it is a strategy to sell for higher.

I doubt they would sell that car at $1.2m.

Exactly. The more one has, the fewer miles each gets.

    Agree !
You can solve the problem by deciding to keep it all your life, and tell yourself that it is therefore worth zero.
Undoubtedly the best strategy to enjoy it as it should be...

That is a very good point.

I have a 992 GT3 Touring and from the day it was delivered I decided I will never sell the car and therefore I have no qualms whatsoever about adding miles to it.

As a matter of fact I will ship the car to Europe early next year and keep it there for the summer and I'd like to add at least 5,000 miles on it. This is what I consider building memories with cars that last forever.

Life is too short not to enjoy the things we have worked so hard for.

I was checking the Hagerty Valuation website ( hagerty.ca). In canadian dollars hagerty reported a jump in valuation of 250k between October and January, giving a current price estimate for cars in Excellent conditions at 2mm cad, before taxes.
