I just got my VIN yesterday, does that mean it’s already in production? If not, how long it usually takes to get into production. I saw same people say 2 months or 1 month. Thanks.

Thank you. It still shows waiting list in the app does it matter? Last month my dealer told me it’s going to be Feb production and now VIN is showing, very interesting.

The app is not a reliable indicator of you car's status. Here is my current status on the app for my 296. The car was delivered to my dealer last week.

This is helpful... quick question: is "ordered" when you locked your spec? I put down my deposit for my order in July 22 (which is ordering... but really just getting in line). In july they told me I"d probably have to lock spec by end of year, which now looks like its AT LEAST one quarter too optimistic. I'm betting I lock my spec in May/June 2023 and trying to reconcile how that lines up to your timeline. I'm assuming your "ordered" line would be the equivalent of what I'm expecting in Q2, 2023.

Thanks, I posted a thread with a bunch of pics called "Atelier Roma has arrived". The finish is a satin powder coat in a blush gold.

    Thank you.

By way of order I mean when you finalised your spec with the dealer and he submitted it to be ordered with the factory.

    Thanks...

Beyond empresses, somehow feels faster than my F8 although has 100HP less. Love the 8 speed transmission and how the car puts power down. The way Ferrari has the traction control calibrated in this car allows it to breaks out a bit more and is just a blast to drive. Handling is much better than you would imagine being mid-front engine. Feels more mid-rear engine, much more like driving a mid-engine Ferrari than how my F12 felt, which in comparison was like a BOAT vs the Roma. This should be their platform for their front engine cars in the future. I see the factory is running a V12 Roma, I hope this is the future of the front engine car for them, the older platform is just WAY to big. The styling in person is just stunning, I just stare at the car as it sits on the street. It brings back the days of a gentleman's touring Ferrari, like how I imagine the Daytona or 275GTB felt back in the day, or even a 575 Maranello. I have already built a serious connection with this car, i'm in LOVE.

The interior is also fantastic. The high center console and true wrap around interior is extremely exotic sports car to me, more so than the SF90 or F8. Seats are perfect with more adjustment to lumbar, side bolsters and seat pan than you need, I have fund the perfect drivers position. These are the best seats yet by Ferrari, I wish they offered them in all their cars. All in I think I will own this car as a daily for a very long time.

If you have access to one, take it out and really put it to the test, its impressive. I had the opportunity to take a Roma out on a rally for two days up in the California mountains, after doing so, I ordered the car, its just super fun and engaging.

Well said. I’m glad I’m not alone in feeling this way. I think the Roma may be the most fun to drive Ferrari yet. I was between this and an 812 and I’m very happy with my choice. After a decent amount of seat time in the 296 and SF90, my feelings were just confirmed. I know they are faster but I don’t care on the street, and I only casually track my Ferrari. I have a P car for the track and think the Roma is the perfect compliment as a street car.

    Thanks Enzo,

    Sounds like you are smitten!

I have driven my Roma over 400 miles in the past 4 days and I can't say that I have had the same experience.

To me the steering is vague and the seats could be more comfortable. Don't get me started on the car play which is not in the center pod yet!

I have to say that I absolutely love the look of my car and the spec.... I just want to love the drive more!

Perhaps it will come to me.

My most recent acquisition is a 718 4.0 that I’ve replaced nearly every part of the suspension because it will see 90% track work. I just enjoy mid engine light cars generally, but especially on the track.

I think Porsches have the best steering in the business. Even my wife said that our Taycan Turbo S Cross Tourismo has more steering feel than the Roma.

The Roma is actually bigger than the F12 in all dimensions - length, width and height. It has a slighty shorter wheelbase and you sit a little further forward within that wheelbase. There is less weight over the nose due to the smaller engine.

CarPlay on the screen is beyond comprehension, cannot wait for the software update. What tires do you have, I went with Michelin which helped the steering input, I was not happy with how the all season tires felt from the factory.

Sorry you are not enjoying the drive more, I do hope it comes.

Would love to see you spec.

    Thanks Enzo,

I have Bridgestone Potenza on the car and I doubt that this is a cause. I suppose I am used to driving Porsche's which are more precise.

    Here is my car;
