    Being a dedicated Ferrari fan (Enzo was the first to influence my future, even though I didn't know him), I had the good fortune to have lunch with one of his greats, Brenda Vernor. She was Enzo's PA from 1977 - 1992, taught Piero Ferrari english, and was the girlfriend of Mike Parkes, one of Ferrari's great drivers of the 1960s. And had some incredible stories about various drivers and other team members. She still lives in Maranello, and knows La Fontanina in Ligorzano !!!

    Given her long history of working for Enzo, she deserves her own post.

    When you think about it, as time goes by, there are fewer people around that can tell first hand stories about Enzo.

    I have had the extreme honor of hosting Ms. Vernor in Texas....I was so shocked to see her name here I feared the worst, and am SO relieved.

    She is both very tactful and reserved, and many subjects, in an English way, but then on other subjects WILL open up and blast away with both barrells, as we westerners say..

    Her book as I understand it complete.

    It tells all,
    It names names....


    It can only be published after she's gone as she would say NOTHING of the relationship with Mr. Ferrari
    And I think the respect ran both ways.

    Happy New Year 2023 to Brenda Vernor, there's been some good intervirews in the recent years, you get a flaovor of what she's like.
    I have a wonderful time at COTA and she received a Standing Ovation at the FCA Hill Country Texas Chapter Dinner that night!!!

    In fact she moved to my table when the folks at hers were slow at conversation!!!

    i was at a small party with her at a friends house. as we sat talking, a ferrari club member unfamiliar with her noticed she had an accent. he asked her, “where are you from, are you fresh off the boat?”
    her reaction was priceless.
