Is the engine running in the picture showing the instrument panel? If it is I’d say the oil pressure is really low.

I am not a fan of theblack paint on the chassis, diff and suspensions.

Also the 412 does have a specific 2x(2+1) exbaust that was replaced by a more common 2*(3+1). The change is not a show stopper per se, but the mounting brackets do not match.

    It's not cheap.

Jim, I agree. With water temp up to 100C at idle, my motor still has close to 3 bar. (I don't get to 100 C often, usually closer to 90C.)

I don’t understand the oil pressure gage at all. It goes up to 12 bar which is like 170 psi. Why have the gage go so high? Looking at the oil pressure it looks to be less than 1 bar. So maybe 10 psi? Granted it could be a bad sender/gage but if it was my car I wouldn’t be running it until I knew the cause.

I’ve found the senders unreliable. I’m on my forth in the last 8 years and about 3000 miles of driving. So I’d put money on that being the problem.

The wiper in the pressure senders does suffer from under-use. After 9 years mine was sticky, but once the car has clocked a few hundreds of km, everything came nack to normal.

Morale of the story, either this car has low pressure, or a defective sensor, or did not see the road for quite a while. Not the kind of neglect you would expect on an expensive 5speeds.

Jim, I regularly see 5.5 to 6.5 Bar at cruising speed with a fully warm motor. A few years back, I think the thermostat valve to the cooler was sticky and I would sometimes see just shy of 8 Bar and then it would drop to the now normal range +/- 6 Bar. Assuming these numbers are correct (not precise), a 12 Bar gauge seems reasonable. Yes, considerably higher than most "normal" cars.
