Opted to wear the 1601 Datejust again today, but on a blue leather strap. Almost anything looks good on it. I think I am probably going to stick with the tan strap, but I was wearing blue today, so I switched it out today.

Also, Polywatch came in today, so I will do that a bit later on. I also got some of the Cape Cod polishing cloths, so gonna try to remove some of the light scratches on these and my other watches. I am cautiously optimistic that I can make them look better!

Wearing my Sub today - looks pretty much exactly like it did in Post 18876, except I have a different shirt on.

Just for something different, this is my 1961 Rolex Oyster Perpetual. I am not wearing it today, so it may not be appropriate for this thread, but I still wear it somewhat regularly.

Hadn’t worn this Tudor Pelagos in a while…bought it in 2017, as a “tide me over” til getting a Submariner. Intended to sell it after reaching that goal. Have since worked my way through the Rolex sport line, but glad I hung on to this one. So light (titanium) GREAT lume, and a classic look. If only I’d waited until 10:10 to snap this pic, as 6 pm is one of the least flattering times to show a watch… Image Unavailable, Please Login

Rolex 1601 today - I switched it out for the brown strap again. Not sure which I like more, but leaning toward keeping the brown strap on it over the blue or the original bracelet. The original bracelet has some pretty good stretch, which I don't mind, but the leather straps are fairly comfortable.

The original Jubilee bracelets are notorious for being junk. I take them off as soon as I get them. If I want a Jubilee I use an aftermarket one and they are great.

The only advantage this one has is that it has the gold in it. I was told that the bracelet that came with mine was fairly rare - the clasp has an 18k gold crown on it. I don't think I have ever seen one like that - but again, my knowledge is extremely limited. Apparently it was an optional bracelet for a couple of years in the 70s. This one is a very late 1976, so I don't know.

Do you have a source for a decent aftermarket bracelet by chance? I saw one at Strapsco, which I am sure is "gold-toned" so fairly cheap. I think it was about $40 or so. It would work and nobody around here would notice or even care, but if I can find something better, then I personally would feel better about it.

Thank you for your wealth of knowledge about these DJs!

Longines Quartz "Dupont" - the story is that years ago (guess is 1980s) someone retired from Dupont and this was their retirement gift - a Longines Quartz watch. The watch was put on a shelf in its original box and left there for all those years - never worn, never used. Well, I acquired it, removed the "new" stickers, replaced the battery and put it into my watch rotation. It is my only Longines as I just wanted to have one watch from the brand. Maybe one day I will work my way up to a Conquest or HydroConquest, but this will do for now.

Along with the small inner dial, used to calculate an aircraft’s position in conjunction with a radio signal. Don’t ask me how…

Today is a Vintage Vulcain. Not exactly sure of the model, maybe Sola? It has N9311A on the back of the case. It's a mechanical only watch - not an automatic. I learned about the history of these Vulcain watches and really wanted one - so I ended up with this one and another one. Maybe someday I will break down and splurge on one of their Cricket models. Anyway, thought I would share. It is reportedly gold-capped and this one came with what appears to be the original stretch metal bracelet, so my guess is that this watch is from the 70s.
