I mean paying $550k for a nicely spec'd 296 GTS is a bit much, no? They're going to make thousands of these things. We're heading into an economic slowdown. I don't know I think Ferrari is overplaying their hand a bit with this pricing. Special cars like the Pista are less money than that.

Two days ago Patek Philippe release the new Nautilus in white gold
Two days ago Patek Philippe release the new Nautilus in white gold. The price for the steal modell 5711 was 30.000 Euro. For the new white gold 68.000 Euro. I was yesterday, 24 hour laters at my dealer. He told me he receive orders for the next 5 years in one day. Double price, of course now white gold and sold out for the next 5 years in 24 hours. I dont think we are running in the luxury segment in a economic slowdown.

I do think there Is huge worldwide pain to come. People who have gotten used to high paying jobs doing little who will be cut. Business owners who never experienced a real downturn who will be in trouble. Etc. This winter will prove very interesting especially for Europe do to the impending energy shortage.

Nobody in this forum have energy problems. If you buy a new 296 you dont have this kind of problems. When I speak with my friends (owning a Ferrari) we speak about the third Rolex, the difference between Dom Perignon and P2 or how to invest in a solar field. If we have to save money we stop buying A5 japanese Beef from Osaka or fly business instead of First Class. And thats the owner from a new Ferrari.

Using my spreadsheet I am also just over $450,000 - but I did not skimp on the options. They were very similar to my F8 build - which is a great spec - plenty of interior carbon, dual interior leather colors, leather all around the interior, etc.

In general seems like the overall cost of the 296 vs F8 is +$75,000 for similar specs. Some of the individual option prices did not change. The biggest jump is the cost of the base car.

Yes but the different is, in my 296 GTB ist Apple Car Play a must with round about 3.000 Euro and did not work :) In the other cars is for free and working. Connection is always lost and with cable the same. Ferrari pick up in November to fix it. hahahahaha

I get it, I have watches too, but $550k for a car 3 years ago was a rare super car. Do you remember what a Carrera GT was in say 2019? $700-800k. The 296 is a great car don't get me wrong, I have one on order, but an 812 GTS with a nice spec was $450k LAST YEAR now a v6 without a roof with a nice spec is going to be $500k? That's a bit much. Ferrari is trying to make more so the flippers make less, it's working look at the last few SF90's on BAT, a couple went reserve not met under sticker, even for a brand new 2022 AF $828k sticker car.

I just think there's a ton of people with $300-400k to spend, $500k+ on a car, you're reaching some rare air and as other assets look more attractive as rates rise, from real estate to stocks, buying a little toy with no long term investment potential bc its a hybrid and they make thousands of them, I think it will take a backseat

My dealer offer me 60.000 - 80.000 more for my 296 GTB. I will sell in March back. Waiting for the final price the last days. For me was the GTB not a bad deal. I drive the car nine month and make much money. And he will sell for a higher price.

If you think they are priced too high then dont buy them. As long as you keep ordering whatever is out regardless of price then why wouldn't they keep raising prices. Consumers create the problems then complain about them. Just like all the fools flooding the car market because they are afraid of prices dropping and increasing the supply. Dumb.

    great sheet, nicely done.

Ours should be around $425 which was the same price as our Pista.

Inflation has changed all the rules. All of us are using benchmarks based on outdated perceptions and what our money will buy. For example, would you have guessed 2 years ago that your house would be worth what it is today? In most of the US homes inflated (appreciated) by at least 25% in that time frame. In the last 12 months, EGGS increased in price by 30%. I believe it was Pepsi that just announced they are raising prices by 25%. EVERYTHING is going to continue to inflate. There is NO deflation on the horizon.

I wish the current price for the 296GTB is what you state but the October 19, 2022 price list puts it at $ 333,269. Given the demand, I doubt even this will hold for long.

Since you haven't said what price list was used for your pricing its difficult to answer !

There's a new year price rise and then if the price list rises again before delivery you'll probably have to suffer that too

The price isn’t official until the car arrives. If there is a price increase between when you ordered and when the car arrives, he will pay the increased price.
