    I just sold my 96 GTS 6mt which I imported from France and immediately started looking for another in Europe to import. WTF happened to European f355 prices in the last few months?? Seeing cars that were 80-90k in the summer listed for 120-130 now. Is this seasonal, or did USA buyers bump their markets up enough to equalize with ours?

    The US market spiked over the last 18-24 months. Having turned to look at the Euro market it lagged (badly) and eventually became profitable to import cars to the US. That is why Euro cars increased in value. Now the US market is slowing and basically equalizing with the Euro market (still slightly lower) to the point the profit margin has substantially shrunk for US importation.

    exactly...and most EU cars have high miles, need a bunch of work, and materially less desired by US buyers. Only special EU cars trade for more than $200K here. Nice EU ones, not special ones, are 150 to 170k.

    While I agree on a certain level there are 3 things I find surprising:
    1) The US market climbed over 1.5-2 years.... the EU market jumped in about 3 months.
    2) The USA market had an abundance of F1 transmission cars.... so low supply of 6mt cars and high demand was driving high prices. In Europe the ratio of on-the-market F1 versus manual cars was about 50-50 so their supply wasnt low and their prices made sense for supply vs demand... if you wanted to buy a 6mt car you werent competing with the whole continent for the 3 available 6mt GTS or GTB cars like you were here. There are still a lot more 6mt cars for sale in Europe than there are here, which begs the question: if their supply isn't all that low, why are prices high?
    3) Lastly, European prices for 6mt AND f1 transmission cars is up, which is nutty and makes no sense. Americans weren't exactly poking around Europe looking for F1 transmission cars.

    Economically this seems like a gross over-correction to me. Which brings me back to the question of if this is seasonal...

    everyone thought USA f40and f50 prices wld come down when they became eligible for importation. instead the EU cars moved up to US pricing and US pricing went up even more. same holds for TR.

    No ones undies are ruffled, your pumping and prices you're quoting are just a cause for laughter... telling a guy his 16K mile GTB is worth $330K so confidently makes me think of the song "Dream Weaver" especially when the highest selling 355 GTB ever on BaT was $164K (not that BAT is the only market marker ) and it was sold by a well established trusted seller 1600Veloce

    PS: For me the higher their prices the better, that only helps me, i've bought and sold 11 355's in 2022 (a mix of drivers, collectibles, F1, manual) , but i'm also a realist and have been watching this pumpathon go on and chuckling. The 355 is the most fun car i've ever owned, they are incredible and worth every penny..however only very special GTB examples can currently have numbers thrown around like your $330K you so confidently quoted in the post above..IMO that car would struggle to get $200-$225k /

    PS: i say all this respectfully & playfully , its just my opinion ...

    ok man you win, 355 GTB's are worth $300k to 1 million.. chapeaux :) you actually quoted that car above too little, i told you, you should have just hit him with a $500K valuation on his 16K mile GTB..

    When speaking of USA '95s, I think it's important to know the vin/assy number/production date due to the difference in components of the 1994/1995 production year. There are many discussions earlier in this thread about these differences. The market has not shown a current value for the difference between an early '95 and a late '95. I would assume and would prefer to see a higher difference for the earlier, but I'm also biased owning #100298 (GTB). As for value, I currently have the car insured for $250k for many of the component may be impossible to obtain.

    *There was also another thread started by a member to list out other differences found throughout the entire 355 production build?

    Many owners and enthusiasts may not care about differences, yet some do (like myself) for they are technically different and can be considered more protoduction (prototype production) rather than full/mass production.

    There have not been many early USA '95 for sale across the web. Here are two that were listed on Fchat.

    As for the later '95 cars, I'm sure there has been a handful for sale but the later cars have many of the same components found in the later year builds also.
