The mounting system SUCKS. At least the lower part of the bumper cover could have been made of rubber rigid enough to direct airflow where it needs to go and flexible enough to survive a curb encounter...

I'ver used a 3M attachment tape for front under-bumper skid plates for many track cars--M3, Exile 240, 360's, 430--I like crashing curbs, and I never had a seriously abused (or any) skid plate let loose, and tape was the only thing holding them on.

OK, so we just applied some 3M VHB tape at fender joint, top of bumper cover under headlight, and 2 places where the wheel well liner meets the bumper cover. Used my little roller. Alcohol first then tape.
81°. Gonna let it sit overnight. Gotta find a clamp w jaws over 2" for one spot. Prob just gonna brace under the headlight w a piece of 1x2.

Goin out to dinner tonite so the car has one more night of duct tape...LOL

I also threw a zip tie around the parking sensor...it's popped out a few times, and hopefully I won't be inside the bumper cover again anytime soon.

Good luck. Another principle is just surface area. If the strip you used is not enough, use a bigger one next. That's what gave me a secure aftermarket mirror on a wobbly 1990s Ferrari Spider Windshield with a no-strut A pillar. ;) Smaller than my first attempt, but larger than the car shop metal buttons (fail).

Does anyone know how to contact a higher up in Alfa Romeo USA? A few weeks ago, Todd Alfa Romeo of Danbury tried to scam my Mom out of more than $1,500 by seriously inflating prices and telling her she needed unnecessary work done. Now they just sent her an obviously fake/deceiving recall notice in an attempt to get her back to the dealer. Alfa Romeo builds fantastic cars, but dealerships that pull games like this really damage the brand.

Hello and greetings from north Texas. I purchased a 2022 Giulia Ti Q4 back in February. The color is anodized blue with the black/tan interior. Options include red calipers, the 19" wheels, and the premium package with the leather dash. I bought it used with only 2,600 miles on it. The car had been in an accident as the owners had hit a deer. The airbag deployed and there was some damage to a fender, all of which were repaired before I bought it. The car was discounted about $15K below a new one with similar options. At that price point, I can live with that history. The car was sold by Alfa Maserati of Wilmington Pike, which is just south of Philadelphia in Chadds Ford, PA. My son took off from work and drove it back to Texas. I have only had a few weeks or so with the car and I will confess it may take up to a month for me to learn all of the driving and info features the car has.

This is my second Alfa as I owned a 1994 164 LS for about 10+ years. I let that car go in 2020. I miss that car but the new ones are just so far ahead in many ways. Here are some photos of the Giulia after I got her cleaned up from the road trip. Have a great day and take care everyone.

So, almost 8 years later (from the QV introduction) and these cars still look fantastic. Every time I walk into the condo garage, the Giulia's lines are just head and shoulders above all else. Alfa's dealers are legendary for not being up the job 99% of the time. I loved my 2017 Giulia Lusso, and would have it today, but the servicing dealer destroyed the engine. And Alfa had them install the new one. A month later and more problems directly related to the dealer's workmanship. I knew I would never have faith in the car so I ended the lease. Though I miss a few of the features on my Lusso, my 2021 is still magic to drive no matter where I'm going. I treat it well and it returns the favor. In both the first and this Giulia, I have been very happy with the tires. The Lusso had Bridgestone run flats, and this one has Pirelli. I run them just a pinch over the factory pressures and I have zero complaints. Like most car people, I am always looking for that next car, no matter how much I love this one. Possibly a used QV when the lease on this is up...and I've yet to drive a Ghibli...but if they gave the base Giulia a bump to 350 hp, I'd instantly be on it. I don't like loud exhausts anymore, I can hear and feel my Giulia's engine just as it is. And if there is nothing I find that I like better in another year, I'll be very happy to keep driving this. I hate the Vesouvious Black, the metalic blues, and the whites. The reds I could live with, but what I really liked was the Silverstone Silver on my Lusso...reminded me of the classic Ferrari Lusso of long ago.

I spent many months looking for a 2020 Lusso in Monte Carlo blue with tan interior but could not find one on the market. I was even considering a 2021, but by then they had dropped the blue I wanted and the Lusso package, or at least none seemed to be coming to the market. Maybe it was too early for leases to start expiring. I found my '22 in anodized blue with the tan interior by chance and the price was just too good to pass up. I really enjoy it. The Silverstone Silver is an outstanding color choice and it may have been my fallback color.

All right. I have wanted a Giulia Quad since they came out in 2017. Have always found excuses not to buy one.

I recently sold my DD (a 21 WRX STI) and daily driving my two Milano Verdes isn’t really cutting it. Sure, they are great cars, but, well, they aren’t always running. :) (I thought that having two of them, at least one would be available, but that’s not realistic with a Milano…)

So I’ve been back in the hunt for a DD, and I keep coming back to the Giulia. Of course, I want the Quad, but I can’t stomach $90K for a car that I’m going to be sitting in traffic on loop 610 daily crawling at 5 mph. And, I have many other sports cars in my personal collection that can scratch the itch for fun; I don’t need a car that can “do it all”.

Still, I kept coming back to the Quad. I mean, why not. Especially in Verde Montreal. Yes, there’s a facelift this year, with digital gauges coming (which I don’t like), and supposedly in 2025 the Quad will be a 1000 hp electric car (which I also could care less about).

Anyway, this morning, I drove my friend’s 2019 Giulia Ti. Wow. I mean, wow. The steering feel was perfect, sublime. The engine was brisk and more than satisfying, even if it had a redline of 6000 rpm (maybe it’s even 5800). The simplicity of the interior was so refreshing. In short, I loved everything about it.

I put an offer in today on a local 2023 Giulia Veloce, and I don’t see any reason why they won’t take it. Rosso Etna, but they also have the same car in Rosso Alfa, and I’ll see which one I like better. Maybe one day I’ll buy a Quad, but I was blown away by the “regular” Giulia. I wish the dark green (Verde Visconti) over tan interior was still available, but oh well. I’d rather have a new 2023 with hopefully all teething issues worked out; the Giulia has been around for 7 years now.

Will update if/when I get the car.

Mike you should try a used QV first. I know my 2018 with 20k miles was only asking low 40s by the time the dealer sold it and I took excellent care of it (dealer gave me a few bucks under 52k at the high line auction). But it really is way more car than the Ti trim. It’s one car that I immediately had to take home after the test drive. I had it four years and still miss it.

Looking at the Moonlight Gray up close...and I am let down by it. Just not as rich as the Silverstone Silver. None of the other metallic paints do it for me. I love the red, but that's just not me at 80. I keep coming back to the car I already own. My wife and I are going on an Alfa Club wine tour this weekend. This glossy black beauty will be our perfect ride.

Black is really difficult to improve upon.

Last week, I took my 97 year old father-in-law for a quick spin in my Giulia QV. Before I accelerated briskly, he stated that he couldn't see why anyone over 75 would want a car like that. So, I only have about five years before he officially disapproves.

From the comments here, it sounds like everyone loves their Giulia and that they are proving to be reliable.

I'm starting to take an interest. One thing I really don't like is that there doesn't seem to be any good place to put the front license plate due to the front-end design. I looked at some listings for cars for sale, and they have the license plate mounted off-center and it looks really, really odd -- kind of destroys the otherwise beautiful front end. And no, I can't run without the front plate, tried that a few years ago and it wasn't worth the hassle (cops do pull you over).

I'd be interested in the base models, not the QF. Is there any manual transmission option available yet? I'd take either full manual, or automatic. No interest in an F1-type transmission just from a maintenance and ownership perspective (I've owned 2 F1-type transmission cars and don't want another).
