I personally cannot remember a time since 2015/16 where we have seen quite so many Ferrarri's on offer. Regardless of whether its the great racing cars of the fifties and sixties, modern hypercars and three 500 Superfasts, haven't seen one of them for a while!

Mecum sold a 275GTB/4 at Kissimmee for a great result on its first weekend but failed to fire with the other 275s on offer and taught us little. Scottsdale over the next day or two will teach us whether this really is a boom cycle for the prancing horse. Paris the following week will be even more topical with ten million dollar plus Ferraris on offer and now Gooding have loaded up on ultra high value Ferrari for their Amelia sale.

Estimates are in USD for Scottsdale and Amelia, EURO for Paris

I suggest to separate this into three individual threads for Scottsdale, Paris and Amelia. Three totally different locations and more than one country, hence totally different markets and currencies.

As another example, there are currently no fewer than five 250 GT California Spiders (long and short) on the market. Not just at auctions but by renowned dealers, some of these can be seen in Paris next week. Question here is how many Cal Spiders can the market absorb?

Very good result, with just 12 built its hard judge since they are not often offered. Ultimately every example auctioned I can think of going back to '07/08 hasn't sold..........

For someone like me of a certain age it is interesting to see the rising interest & prices of more 'recent' cars like the Maserati, while the Ferraris of the sixties while certainly holding their own are soft/flat. The GTC and GTS prices look lighter than I might have guessed; that GTS in particular was a spectacular looking restoration by Motion Products. On the other hand, I love the Pre WWI sportscars and the strong Simplex result bucks the trends of recent years (decades...?)

Timmy: Full Factory Competition 427 Cobra sold last year for 3.5M. It was offered to us, we offered slightly less and it was immediately sold for the 3.5.

So whats with them at auction, is it a commentary on CSX3006 which accounts for 4 of the 6 entries I have since 2007?

Timothy: I do not know the answer to your question. Factory 427 Competition and Semi-Competition (SC) Cobras are a unique set of cars in the Cobra world. There is a lot of conflicting information out there about them and most have led confusing lives. They also have a very limited competition history, especially as far as factory race entries go.

Wouldn't CSX3006 be a continuation car of sorts? I thought all the originals were CSX2000 and up?
