Does anyone have any info on this f50... it looks like an air intake coming out of the back of the car... kinda ruins it for me... looks like the intakes that come out of the toyota mr2! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's a wanna be add on from the GT racing series. I believe 1 F50GT car was made but never raced. Sold on the condition it could never be raced professionally by its owner.
I think there are 3 F-50GT's. That yellow F50 though is only a modified one that is in Paris (or Monaco?). There have been a handful of pics of it at various events. Ask AMenasce, he'd know.
Ryalex - you are correct, there are 3 F50GTs. I believe 1 is in the US, 1 is in Austria and one made its way to a Japanese collector. http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/summary/SN.F50.GT.htm
That's not an F50 guys...the scale's ALL wrong..I'd say it's a snorkel back to the Fiero motor! LOL! You are not crammed in like that driving an F50, IMO...
It's a real one. Ive seen alot of talk about it on this board. No one really seems to know anyhting about it though besides it actually does make a pretty impressive amount of Horsepower. (Forgot the exact ammount.)
I saw this car in person. Its Stephane Ratel ex F50. tuend by an Italian specialist , it has around 620 hp. I think Mr Ratel ( The R of BPR championship.., he 's the current organizer of the FIA GT champ ) sold it.
nice pics of the car, it looks a bit better in those pics, but i still think its unnecessary, some people just have too much time and $ i guess...
That car owns to an italian man that i think lives in Monaco. His the owner of an important factory. He has also one or two enzos. His name is Garbagnati, raced in the 360 challenge and he won a lot, now he raced with the 360 GT if i remember. That car is a normal F50 prapared to Motor o something like that in Modena. It has 620hp without that black thing on the top, with that the engine can make 700hp. He has a red botton in the steering wheel and he can change gear without pressing the pedal, like rally cars. I red it some years ago in an italian newspaper
Maybe it's Koenig? (non turbo)...in their site they mention an air scoop option and also a powershift feature for the non turbo car...
Did the owner modify it? A few years ago the local dealer said they are illegal due to bumpers I think.
I saw the F50 at the Mont-Tremblant village in 2002. It didn't look modified.... But like you said I think its not street-legal. The owner only drives it on the circuit Mont-Tremblant (he owns the Mont-Tremblant circuit). PS: Here are some pics I took when I saw it. The pics are terrible... sorry.. I was having problems with my camera plus the batteries were almost dead. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Weird .. I can see the pics. Here Patrick.. PS: Someone that I know will be sending me his F50 pics from that event after Christmas. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow I forgot to say something....''djcavalino''(f-chat member) has ridden in the F50 on the streets of Montreal when the car first arrived at Luigi's Ferrari dealer. So its street legal I guess. I should check with djcavalino.
