I cry every time I see a car on BAT with under 1000 miles... just... why?

I bet an exotic car dealer snaps this up to put on their lot.

Don’t worry, the 296 will be trading at or below 296k in due course.

Given what is happening in the SF90 market, I have to imagine these will go the same route once the novelty wears off -- given this seems to be the first one on Bat.

The comments to the BaT auction are interesting. How does a model with 11k in options get out the door this early to someone that then immediately flips?

The story that my sales rep at this dealer gave me was that he got the car 2 weeks ago, it was shipped to Florida and he immediately put it up for sale. The dealer and Ferrari have been in contact with him and have added him to the banned list, as expected. A very low msrp build, they had a feeling something was up. As my sales rep said, banned for life all for a fist of money at most.

You would think this early of a car would go to a great customer whom has bought many Fcars. All of the sudden he’s gonna flip one ?
Either more to the story or maybe the ultimate F U to Ferrari and he’s done with the brand.
    It’s sure entertaining though.

There could be a whole another side to the story. Totally making this up but maybe he was a corporate person and his company just went bankrupt and has to make major life changes? Maybe the person who ordered it passed away unexpectedly and their spouse or heirs decided to sell the car? Or maybe they are greedy and just wanted easy money?

In all of those cases, the dealer would ask for ROFR. I do not know what FONE does, although I have had a car serviced there. Either way this guy is TOP or a friend of the dealer- a status about to end.

What’s the over under? 100k on F8S now, this car is a blast to drive and I will bet this goes for over 450K. Chance to drive and have before even most Ferraristas have their cars in the US.

Popcorn will be popping on this one.

There are people in this world, who buy cars, keep them a couple of months then sell them off and buy something new. I know a couple of people like this. I find it strange, but each to his own

I have three friends like this. Constant turnover of high line cars and I can’t comprehend the sales taxes they blow money on each year.

In Florida you get the sales tax credit when trading. You bite the bullet for the first purchase and everything else you don’t pay taxes on (if you go more expensive you just pay taxes on the difference).

Yeah it’s the same here (and no tax on private sale) but not every transaction is a trade. That’s what I don’t get. YOLO, I suppose.
