Hi, I had gotten a wheel from an SF90 and sold it to a member here. When they install it they are getting a "component protection" message and it is as if the wheel's software is locked. They have the dealer software to copy the code from their original wheel, but cannot transfer it to the new wheel. I believe the wheel is the same for the Roma, so any knowledge on that would apply here as well. Any idea what the fix is?

    Thanks,

It sounds like it needs a proxi file relearn for the new steering wheel. Dealers can do that but likely won't because they didn't provide the part. Some independent shop have the capability to relearn proxi files. I know I can change some things in the file to turn on shift light functions and cruise controls and such.
It would need to be a Ferrari heavy shop to have the tools. Shop around and see what you buyer can find.

What are they trying to install it on. The module in that steering wheel is going to be looking for some very specific information on the can bus.
