As others have stated lubrication is key.

However, I do not believe in over washing. I will never wash a vehicle. More than twice a month and in reality, my cars get washed way less often. My Ferrari stays in a climate controlled garage, has partial PPF abs cquartz. It’s only driven on sunny days. It gets washed like 4-5 times a year.

My daily driver 992 is typically dirty. It gets washed about once a month. The interior will usually get cleaned more often.

My cars are only washed by someone who will be meticulous with 2-3 bucket system and clean plush towels.

I rather live with a little dust and dirt than scratch the car. Also, I prefer not to obsess.

Now if a bird poops on my car, I will immediately remove with detail spray and then wash the entire car as soon as possible.
