I’ve held onto these bumpers for a decade. Had them primed/ prepped and almost ready for paint a few months ago. If I do paint them, I will never have a mold pulled from them as it will most likely damage the expensive paint. If molds are going to ever be pulled off these fine examples, now would be the time. In their primed state. I know these pieces were not busted up into a thousand pieces and put back together. They would be an accurate representation of what Ferrari offered in the 90’s. Well preserved, dimensionally sound pieces.
Challenge bumpers are roughly 20 lbs each. Weigh your OE bumpers gentlemen. They integrated a person into them .
Did anyone take you up on this? I am in the market for an accurate challenge front bumper...or any other thoughts on how to find one?
Unfortunately not. My parts are still not painted. I'm waiting for other light-weight bits to arrive before taking these to the paint shop. Once that opportunity is gone, it's gone. I haven't seen reproductions of "challenge" bumpers on the market as of current. They are mostly standard bumpers marketed as challenge bumpers.
