    From what I have read years ago, Ricart had a higher position than Ferrari at Alfa after he sold his Scuderia to them.
    Having been his own boss before, Ferrari resented that situation and a clash of personalities followed. Ferrari left.
    Compared to Ferrari, Ricart was a talented engineer, trusted by Alfa management; he was behind the decision to develop the Alfetta, which came too late against the Silver Arrows in the late 30s. The car proved its worh after WWII, by taking 2 titles.
    Ricart supervised also several racing projects at Alfa Romeo, one being a mid-engine GP car to fight the German cars.
    It's certain that returning to Alfa Romeo, Enzo Ferrari had to fit in the hierarchy, become a subordinate and not a decision maker.
    That episode in his life left a bad memory.

    Aston Martin went don't with previous chairman Palmer, before it was ticking over nicely.

    If Geely comes onboard, they may change the company, but looking at what they did to Volvo, maybe there is nothing to fear.
