    I hope you had the block and head dipped before you made them pretty with new paint?

    Why can I see corrosion inside the thermostat housing?

    Otherwise it's what Americans call a "Craigs List rebuild"

    Head has been machined for its original 10:1 compression ratio, new rim flow valves ,springs and guides…I took the block out to +20 and crank and flywheel balanced..Just rebuilt the twin carbies…Engine will be like new when done…Gearbox will be a big job…straight cut close ratio gears…

    Had the block and head soda blasted Ian…The AEG 163 heads are unobtainable these days…I have 4 in stock as spares but all cracked…I need to find someone that can weld cast iron heads…

    Unless you're racing, I wouldn't do that, and DEFINITELY don't put in a dog box - PITA on the RR run
