Agree with the above -- the 996 A/C could be a meat locker -- I haven't really experienced great A/C from the air-cooled 911's
I did not decide to get my AC going ( a real insane project to put it mildly ) until 99,000 miles / 21 years of ownership .With regards to my 89, if its hot outside and I start my drive with the AC on from the minute I pull away from my shop, it works sufficiently , if I turn it on anytime after I have driven with the windows open, and the top on of course, thats a different story, I might as well forget about it . I have done it that way, it just takes way to long to get things cool again. The cooler it is outside, the better it works, anything above 80 degrees the AC struggles somewhat, like I said, unless I start it right from the get go. For me, it blows cold enough , and Im happy I finally got it sorted. Big G
