It is the best car I have ever owed. Now, I may not be the perfect example since I buy what I like and keep them pretty long BUT, it is an amazing car to drive.

I was going to stick my finger in the air and get a current valuation from a well known UK Ferrari specialist.
Why? - 2016 / 2017 reg 488s are now to be seen on Pistonheads for around £148K, there is also a 2013 F12 Berlinetta for sale at roughly the same price too.
I think i may hold my horses now!

With current market conditions, buying a 599 gives a lot of value for the money.

It's always nice to get some positive reinforcement about the 599 values. We shall see as time goes by.

I was looking at Hagerty's valuation tools... and put in the 599- and the "average" value was $175K??? that seems way high. but Happy if it is, but I suspect that they show it high so they can charge you more for a policy... while in reality is around the $125- 145K mark for average... low miles etc certainly would be more...

It could easily be skewed by a few HGTE cars selling vs standard GTBs.

I believe HGTE is a separate category. But I also found the prices surprisingly high.

Or a few original manual transmission cars, given the quasi religious worship for such cars in the US...
This being said, if there is only one Ferrari car that's currently undervalued, for me it is the 599 (and neither a $3M F40 nor a $150K 458).

    I totally agree.

When you look at prices of F355’s, 550’s and even Porsche 993 4S.

The 599 GTB with it’s Enzo derived engine is the absolute bargain of the century.

Get in before they all get mopped up!

599: only other ferrari to have the enzo engine. Last F1 transmission car. Amazing value for money.
think about it... a 812 GTS is half a million or more.
Surely a 812gts is a better car than a 599. But I'm not sure it justifies a price that is 3 to 4 times higher.

All of the latest V12s are evolutions of the 65 degree V12 Enzo engine, just like the 599. The 599 engine substituted steel connecting rods for the titanium ones in the Enzo, among other changes, so not exactly the same.

You're all right guyz, I am sure the value of the 599 was at bottom. So if they'll not get upwards they'll stay there, and that's a good invest too. You don't loose your money ;)
I think my 599GTB is interesting for another reason.... look at the chassis-numberplate :D:D:D

Yeah Taz, but us dreamers want to think we have an Enzo on our hands...including myself, LOL!

And it is the closest engine spec wise compared to all the other newer v12 iterations.

As always, love your expertise Taz...walking ferrari encyclopedia
