Looks stunning IMO.
Looks great. Euro spec with standard seats, but those look good in Cuoio and match the door panels and rear shelf. Ingrid Bergman would have looked great in this one
I totally agree that the standard seats match the rear and the doors perfectly! May the Horse be with you
Hi guys, Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Bob and I purchased my dream car two weeks ago - a 1999 550 Maranello in Nero with tan cabin. The car has 64,000kms from new and was originally an Aussie delivery. This forum has already been SO helpful in assisting me to clean the headlight inners, replace the alarm siren to a corvette one and clean the rear 3rd brake stop light from the inside. You guys really are passionate and knowledgeable about these wonderful cars and I hope to contribute and learn where I can. Here are some pics of the car on her maiden drive under my ownership.

G’Day Bob! Welcome aboard! She looks like a real beauty and is in really great shape too! May the Horse be with you
Will do once it arrives in a couple weeks. I have owned a 355 with and without the carbon seats, and although the standard seats are a little more comfortable, I found the extra support is very much worth it. The Maranello carbon seats look a little more comfortable than the 355, will judge once it arrives.
Hi Bob and congratulations!! Black/beige 550s are really looking good. Australia is big, and of course you NEED a car like that for long journeys. Yes the community and knowledge here is second to none! When I go inte a Ferrari workshop, sometimes, I feel guys know nothing about the car... It is important to learn and understand the car when you own it. It makes the ownership better in my opinion! Make some posts and keep the aussi-Maranello pics coming! You car oooks absolutely fantastic! cheers, Erik Oslo
I little bit off topic, but this is a quite interesting auction result. Definately a drivers' car. Great sound. A half V12. One of the brand's best and most tasteful designs. If we examine the production numbers, we see that the E9 was build in almost 10x the amount of for example 550 Maranellos. This car is fifty years now. So definately a classic. 130.000 USD is about the same money as a 550. Probably not enough in America to buy a really good car but anyways. Next question is what will happen to the 456/550/575M market when we look at the much lower production numers of the Ferraris...?! And how long time will it take to get the prices to rise like in this case with the 3,0 CSi? I remember twenty years ago. I could have a top condition one for 20.000 USD. (In Norway where I live). Not so anymore.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I also think that this is one of the best-looking BMWs of all time, but how many of these have rusted down to the ground? I would be surprised if perhaps even only a quarter of total production are still alive.
I sold my very original mint CS in 2020 and bought my 550 with the proceeds. No comparison and no looking back… The CS is iconic but the driving experience is very relaxed… the 550 can be many things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ha, 3.0 CSi was the first car I ever bought, aged 18, with my inheritance. Turquoise, manual, 73 model. It had huge style and a good turn of speed, and was so good at cornering that it loved to continue going round when you wanted it to stop. Beautiful car but dynamically flawed, that diagonal pitch also on bumpy roads. Vague steering.. It loved to rust. Was quite a head turner at university, especially when it continued going round a corner and fishtailed into an ice cream van. It taught me how to drive oversteery cars.
