Great pics- beautiful boats. Thanks for the memories: My Dad had a Hacker craft he named “Sassy” - it had a WWI bomber engine- V12 Liberty in it. That engine was amazing to hear and see. Hacker was nice, but not like some Garwoods and Chris Crafts I’ve seen.
Wow...!!! What a magical era. Some years ago a neighbor of mine back in Michigan had 1937 Gar Wood Gentleman's Runabout (dual cockpit). It had a Scripps V-12 engine that had something like 300 horsepower. He had the boat restored to perfection and I was honored to go for a ride and it was awesome indeed, the sound and the smoothness...another world.
