Plenty seem to think so. I believe this might be a mule similar to the one posted just above, used for F1 testing…

I think they are using the same strategy of testing the powertrain, general aero concept, cooling, etc as the F1 mule I posted above but for the hypercar this time. They don't have any restrictions on testing the LMH so it wouldn't make sense to make a completely separate mule when they could test the real thing and it doesn't make sense to test the F1 engine on the street. IMO

Looks a bit like the could be an F40 under there. Could this be Icona?

SP1/2 50s then SP3 60s so next will be the 70s followed by the 80s, so I am guessing way to early to see an 80 mute. nice idea tho

Makes sense since they're done building the F8 - now can do F40 on same chassis and upgraded V8 Turbo

I doubt very much you would see a modern F40. First Ferrari does not do retro. Second the F40 was built in relatively large numbers; over 1,300 cars. The three Icona models so far are all based on a handful of cars. Race cars to be specific. The Icona represents the automotive "theme" of a decade, not an individual model of a car. Flavio Manzoni has stated when they start a new design project they first review previous models but they do not recreate an old design. They take inspiration from many sources including architecture.

every American dreams that a Corvette is a Ferrari.
Ferrari can no longer even circulate a prototype to be criticized for the design. That's crazy

The mule looks like a HyperCar mule. Wheels and tyres are not racing spec as per 2013 mule hiding an F1 engine. Also, that rear wing looks like it is designed to be lowerable in a final version - look how it would naturally fit onto the rear deck. Not suggesting that is how it will look but the idea seems like they could be thinking about it. It would be a natural progression from LaFerrari, akin to P1 aero rear spoiler.

If all that is true, here’s the big news…. The length of the rear suggests a V12 hybrid. I didn’t believe they would do that and the leaked internal documentation did indeed seem to suggest a V8.

My thought is this; they might turn SF90 VS into a limited hypercar at LaFerrari price and release a 2nd hypercar line (maybe billed the first ‘ultra car’ or something like that) with V12 at a not-before-seen price more like current LaFerrari values. This would be the true LaFerrari replacement but would be much more expensively developed and aggressive in feel and try to put distance between them and competitors. Maybe.

I believe SF90 VS is a limited Hypercar but at Senna pricing not at LaFerrari pricing and probably the last V8 hurrah..
