I can't keep up with you guys. When I went to "first unread", it took me to early January! Preferential to the meat/steak pics, but I eat some seafood.
classic wine pairing is Sauternes...very yummy combo. (but any similarly mildly sweet wine goes well)
Anniversary dinner, which for us means risotto with mint, peas and lemon, topped with scallops. I’ve posted this meal here many times over the years as it is our go-to special occasion meal to make together. Wife just added dessert to our anniversary dinner; Wuzetka (a polish sponge cake with whipped cream, jam and chocolate). Yummy! Image Unavailable, Please Login

AZ Italian. Your post above is very similar to a dish we make with sausage, Savoy (or Napa) cabbage and Cannellini beans. Chicken broth and white wine. Delish.
We have had a box of Mac n Cheese in the pantry for a year or two. I bought it to show my wife this classic old school American food (true story - when she first saw it on menus years ago, she thought it must be some sort of hamburger with cheese). I finally made it tonight, sautéed some mushrooms with pepperoni and then added the Mac n cheese box items. It was my use-up-what’s-in-the-fridge attempt at something like chili Mac, or taco Mac. Tuscan Mac? (I topped it with grated parm and olive oil in keeping with the theme). was okay, sorta silly, but quick and easy dinner. Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes and I forgot the savoy cabbage dish is finished with lots of grated parmesan. It was a peasant dish until you get out thee $30 / lb. cheese!
Tonkatsu at Ginza Bairin. Some of the best tonkatsu I’ve had outside of Asia. Comparison pics of the “special” tonkatsu vs the regular kurobuta tonkatsu. The special is much more marbled.
