I did the Hill Engineering pump conversion and it works great as for shifting through the gears but the pump will not shut off. This is why the original 355 pump failed. YES, I replaced the relay but even with the key off it will run forever. It will make a little noise like the pressure is building up and almost stops but never does stop. Is there a pressure switch that could be bad? I do not know of a way to properly bleed the system as to the conversion kit does away with the bleeder screw on the 355 pump block. Any suggestions?

Did you contact Hill Engineering? Since this is their non-factory pump conversion, they should be most familiar with the problem you're having.

Are you sure it's not your accumulator?

I bought it from Ricambi but they were not able to help with the technical part of this.
I replaced it at the same time.

It has to be bled. You really should find a manual. Problem is you need one of the computers designed for the car to do it properly.

I’ve seen some later 360s get bled with the launch tool, but since this is technically a 355 with 360 hardware I take it that probably won’t work?

Even if you didn’t buy the pump from Hill Engineering, I bet they would still be willing to help you. They want their product to work.

The 360 pump conversion still uses the original pressure switch to control the pump. Either you have a bad switch or a stuck relay or an internal leak Attached pic shows the pressure switch. Unplugging the switch should turn off the pump if it doesn't you have either a stuck relay or an external problem causing the relay to stay energized.

They manufacture the part. The fact there is an issue with the system that has nothing to do with their product does not make it their responsibility. If you dont know how to properly diagnose the system probably shouldn't have taken on the project. Owner just threw parts at a problem that weren't needed.

I unplugged the switch and still have power on the hot wire to the pump along with a new relay. May be time to spend the money and do a gated conversion and quit messing with this total piece of garbage. This is the first and last F1 style I will ever own.

I was thinking way back to the FAF days. Their main business was parts, but they provided a lot of technical assistance to their customers to keep their Ferraris running. They even published a Ferrari Survival Manual.

Are you sure you are unplugging the correct relay? These systems are not that complicated. Usually it is misdiagnosis or lack of knowledge on the system that is the biggest issue.
If unplugging the proper relay did not correct the issue then there is a short to battery power or malfunction in the wiring harness.

Does the pump run with the relay removed?
