Yep. They were the laughing stock on the grid. Now(2023), teams other than RedBull and Alpha Tauri are wanting their PU for 2026. Got to give 'em credit for not quitting. They would rather face humiliation on the F1 grid than quit and head back home to Japan to face shame.....this is part.of the Japanese culture.

Amazing they turned it around and with the help of Toro Rosso(aka Alpha Tauri).....yet Renault and Ferrari are still.having issues with their PU

Never have I seen such a lack of posts with real information in all my F1 watching and posting here. It's sadder than what we will probably witness this weekend. That said, I've programed my VCR in the hopes there will be something magical to talk about on Sunday.

So what really happened? Did he break both his wrists or just one of them? IF a broken wrist, should not there be a cast? What was the story? I know he fell off his bicycle and either broke or sprained his wrist. I looked at Spanish media and Stroll was bicycling at Malaga and fell but could not find any pictures of the incident or being at the hospital.......weird.

it's very strange. Reports of broken wrist or wrists, not making the season etc, replacement drivers...

    Yet he arrives with...a plaster?

The lack of communication of it all is what's bizarre to me. Clearly the wrists weren't broken, so why didn't Aston deny it immediately?

Formula 1 teams will no longer be allowed to use a clever trick to keep their latest technical secrets from the prying eyes of rivals and media before practice begins.

In an effort to make F1 more open to the media and fans, the FIA introduced new procedures last year to increase the transparency of the latest developments brought to each race.

As part of revised sporting regulations, teams now have to notify the FIA in advance of each grand prix weekend about any new "major aerodynamic and bodywork components and assemblies" that are intended to be run.

But as well as having to explain in writing what they have done, the regulations also force teams to display these parts prior to the start of first free practice for what has become known as a 'show and tell' session.

During a designated window ahead of FP1 on Friday, teams are supposed to make their cars available outside the designated garage area, where the media can get up close to see the new parts.

I agree, the Stroll injury could have been handled better, just learned today that he had a minor surgery on at least one wrist. The big story for me this week is the cars and seeing where things end up with qualifying and the race, and driver wise seeing how the rookies do plus Hulkenberg.
