    For the total 'spaceship' effect I would have done everything black in silver. That includes the carbon rocker trim all around and of course the roof. Even the windshield trim in silver, same as the 599 SA Aperta has.
    With all that said, George has created a wonderful understated elegant build specification!

    I do not remember everything that was said when I specced my car but at the factory but some parts in black can’t be painted (I clearly remember That the black surrounding of the windshield cannot be touched for example). A fully painted front bumper could have been considered (to be confirmed then) but not recommended as it would have spoiled the original design of front of the car.

    Interesting details on the SP3 build spec process, thank you for sharing that. Ferrari Design certainly has some definite ideas on what can and can not be done to their designs during the build spec process.
    The black paint on only certain parts of the 812 GTS roof area was another process example. Even the GTS 'stripe' livery has certain restrictions. I will admit having only one color on the car is rather 1980's thinking now...
