Surprised not to find any posts about this part, 360 F1 short hose from the F1 reservoir tank to the pump. Looks to be part# 179338. I’m
curious if any substitutes exist, seemingly benign simple hose priced at $200. I’m guessing not giving the lack of info anywhere.

We sell about 30-35 of those per year. It is not an 'uncommon' item to replace. It's a molded/formed hose, not a 'user twisted' kind of rubber thing. And If I'm not mistaken, the two ends have different diameters.

Buy it. Don't try to make it, it won't end well. There is a Ferrari tax but it is not something that is found outside the offical channel. It has two different ends, two 90 degree turns, is oil resistant, and you cannot substitute it with a generic hose.

It looks like my reservoir tank is seeping slightly at the seams ... that could be the source of the fluid I'm seeing at the hose connection point actually. (though, I know how these things go ... it's most likely leaking at both).

That reservoir is cheap. Just change it out. Buy a BMW unit.

Thanks, I'll look for the BMW part number (unless you / someone knows already).

Related, does anyone know of a non-OEM accumulator bottle that works for a 360? (OEM part# Accumulator Bottle 58552368 or 247346)

32411097164 is the BMW part number. ALthough, if you search for E30 BMW power steering reservoir, there are a number of less expensive non-BMW parts.

I would not go that far. The "bomb" is likely rated to a different maxium psi.
