Could be bad because demand is falling, hence the pull forward in production and so many other cars came onto my radar screen in the last 2 years! Dealer wants spec/config finalized my end of next week. So much has changed since April 2021 when I placed the deposit, I’m second guessing many things: a) do I still want it, b) does delivery timing in Sep make sense and where to send it while I’m traveling and c) is my config still valid as I’m rethinking colors and options. First world problems.
I’ve been told I’m 10G… whatever that means. One question dealer is asking is air freight vs shipping… anyone air freight? Cost? Worth it? I’m in SoCal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
not for me I enjoyed watching my F8 crossing the ocean. Got hung up in NY port for a little too long due to Covid but tracking the freighter was fun! Sandy
I recall getting a quote from my dealer of approximately C$26,000 to ship my car via air freight versus being shipped by boat. Apparently my car is being shipped very soon or is already on the ship. Does anyone know how to track your car as it’s crossing the ocean?
If you know which boat it is on, you can google its name, there are a variety of websites dedicated to tracking shipping vessels. 2 boats often used are Vienna Express and Chicago Express, but there may be others
Yes, your dealer should be able to tell you what Freighter it is on. Ferrari only uses 2 or 3 vessels. The names escapes me right now. Once you get the name there is a site on line that tracks all movements of Freighters in real time. I did that with my F8 spider it was actually fun. I love your new car by the way. Looks like i will be getting mine around Christmas. Do you mind if I ask when you put your deposit down. I put mine down in May 2021. Thanks Sandy

Sheesh, my Spider deposit date was Feb 2021 and my car just got launched. I wonder if it will arrive as a 2024 MY. My SF90 Stradale was built in June 2021 and delivered to the dealership late September/October of 2021 and came in as a 2022 MY. I always thought a pre August Holiday factory closure was the cutoff for MY changeovers like Lamborghini. Ferrari must do something different.
Just looked back. Deposit 10/21, TM spec. Just got the vin a few weeks back. Expected to be done by 8/29 this year. Was told 2024 when getting the allocation.
Same. April 2021 Deposit Atelier June 2021. Revised by Ferrari 11/21. Ticket closed Going in “soon” Probably January 2024 along with 296 GTB and PS shortly Thereafter. GTS and F8S came within 12 days of each other. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So I got my box with a spot for the key and sculpture of the car. When does the sculpture come? Is it a model? Or one of the metal chromed ones?
do you mind me asking when you put your deposit down. I am trying to get some idea when mine is going into production. I put my deposit down end of April 2021. thanks Sandy
Looks great. Can anyone tell me approximately how long it took to get your sf90 or Spider from the time you were assigned a VIN number. Thanks Sandy
Just a FYI for people that have ordered, but haven't received their SF90 spider, I put down a deposit in April/May 2021, and am now told that I will likely have a mid October 2023 build date, with delivery to US probably January or February 2024. This is will be my fourth new car purchase from my dealer. The first was a 2009 Maser GTS, then 2014 F12 and 2021 F8 spider. I received the dealer's first F8 spider delivery, and I waited a little bit after launch to order it. I believe I made a deposit in October 2019 and received the car at end of October 2020. I still possess those three cars. My wait time from time of deposit on the SF90 spider is longer than I initially expected (will be close to three years), but Ferrari seems to have a lot of irons in the fire now. Also with the extra time, I hope that all the bugs are fixed, and there do seem to be a couple of options that were not available, when I first spec'd the car in 2021.
