    ball outer diameter = 17mm
its better to print a metal verison
I tested nylon version and it easily broke

Update, the previous version are not as good as this version. This version has a longer rod for the ball so it won't interfere with the A/C vent.
I also printed on Nylon and it works good now.

Does it easily snap on and off without damaging the vents?

If so I wonder if anyone is willing to sell me 1 as I don't have a 3D printer.

It doesn't snap on. You need to remove 2x vents for this to be installed

You bring this file to your local 3d print shop and pay them for the printing.

its amazing that from brainstorming to thoughts to drawing to realization, how complex and long process it could be for such a small part. Trials and errors, it comes a long way

well, i have this f430 dash plate 3d modeled and printed, seems ok, just need paints.
The good thing about it, is that you can have custom anything on it, like the one in the pic, I put my name on it. LOL

    rename is to .stp

Has anyone else printed one of the cell phone mounts above, and if so, do you have a link to the magnet you’re using? Very interested but want to make sure I can get a proper magnet to mount on the ball.

I’ve yet to find a magnetic mount for my iPhone that’s strong enough to hold it in all driving conditions in this car.

Damn that's nice. Much cleaner than the windshield mount I have in my 360.

just ordered a nylon and a titanium version of these things to see what goes best - thanks for sharing your work @24000rpm

PS I've found the "Moment Multi Threaded Mount" to be the strongest available and easily accepts a generic 17mm ball with 1/4-20 thread. From there you can use a 17mm double ended coupler to mount to the car side of things.
Those MagSafe mounts hold up in my Raptors no problem, hopefully the Scud has less violent forces to deal with hah.

if you guys didn't follow up, i almost forgot the 360 version: a little wider than the F430 version.
Here it is. Change the .txt to .step

That's great. I'd love a lightweight version of all the Ferrari badges on the car, should you ever make those!
