As far as I know this is some sort of Extracampionario leather, which looks similar to Cuoio 4609 but is not it. He also used this kind of leather in his 612 Kappa and 575 Superamerica... In all three cases he opted for a contrast stitching in Bianco 2000.
It is stock standard Cuoio 4609, as confirmed by factory. One of 18 Enzos with Cuoio 4609. Marcel Massini
Here are all four Enzo's displayed at Amelia Island 2023. Rosso Corsa #134297 Blu Pozzi #134959 Rosso Corsa #133030 Giallo Modena #? Ok, I cheated on the yellow one. I used my photo from a year prior in Pompano Beach, FL, because the car left Amelia Island early. Also, if anybody has the chassis number, I'd appreciate it. Connor Cogan's example. Very cool how the color changes to the mood of the lighting, in the areas of shadow the car looks almost black.
At the concours I spoke briefly to the man representing the Blu Pozzi Enzo on behalf of Mr. Kalikow, letting him know the car was my favorite Enzo there due to its color combination, even if it didn't win best in class. He told me he had heard via the rumor mill that his car lost in the voting by 1 point, with the difference coming down to an option the winning car had but his blue car did not. I'm a few degrees and a rumor removed from the raw truth so take this with a grain of salt, but an interesting tidbit for those wishing 134959 had won. Judged awards don't concern me personally, so I was just happy to be around four Enzos in three different colors at the same time. I'm up to six different colors seen now, out of however many there are. Previously at Cavallino Palm Beach 2022 I found myself drawn to a blue 550 Barchetta #002 and waiting all day for it to have its plastic rain bag taken off so I could get a good look. It wasn't until I was halfway through my conversation with the Blu Pozzi Enzo representative that I realized I had spoken to him next to that 550 Barchetta a year prior, and that that car was also a Kalikow collection member. I need to find a way to get myself inside his collection because I think I like his taste... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Concours events are often beset with cronyism and strange standards that end up diminishing the validity of the results which are nearly always subjective, IMO a unique liveried car presented in excellent original condition without any faults should always score higher than any restored car. I once showed a car at a prominent concours, when the judges came around they were asking me what was correct-for-spec for the car, which tells you how qualified they were to be judging and therefore how valid the subsequent results were! For this very reason in the past I have showed cars at certain concours events but specifically asked for them not to be judged and featured them on a display-only basis for the public to enjoy. The best part of my few concours days has always been driving the car to the event for the public to enjoy, then driving it home again the long route, this way I get to enjoy why the car was built in the first place, share it with people, and spare myself the judging drama.
Good afternoon. Does anyone know anything about Enzo #135263, which was originally delivered to Spain? Jorge HG
Thanks for the clarification Marcel. Could I know where it was originally delivered? It was registered in 11th December, 2004 in Spain. Jorge HG
I'm sure that isn't correct. I believe it was new to Saudi Arabia. Obviously, the dealer field in Modis shows (something like) the last dealer to deal with the car, not the original supplying dealer, so I hope it hasn't come from there. It didn't come to the UK until 2007 and left circa 2015.
Love it. Makes me wonder if we really talk about the same car. Is your letter from: A) the factory in Maranello, Italy, or B) from Ferrari UK? or C) from Classiche in Maranello? or D) does it say so in the warranty booklet of 135263? Mine is from Maranello. Marcel Massini
