right, they did the 4th zone for 1 day and then did away with it, so this year it is back for a 4th DRS zone.

IMHO Barnard was a exceptional innovator / designer and wanted to push the boundaries of motorsport design at every opportunity he could. Didn't always get it right though, possibly lacked man management skills too, especially with the SF hierarchy.

The correlation and dovetailing chassis design / component manufacture in GTO to engine and assembly in Maranello was a huge mistake and full of logistical problems. I was gobsmacked when i read that JB was being undermined by Postlethwaite / Lardi Ferrari in developing a "second" car running in parallel with the 639.

Ferrari in the UK could work and it would attract top engineers but the talent in Maranello just has to be unleashed instead of being kept on one.

I dislike the changes of this track.

Despite that, it’s one of my favorites on the calendar

I can't seem to recall but there's minor changes correct? Making it faster, i think. Dunno abut overtaking though

It will be a parade lap after laps 3-5.

the final sector changed, it just makes it feel weird

also turns 9/10 pretty much removed, totally flat out now. Was a decent braking zone before and a tricky corner where time was gained and lost.

The simplification of tracks is not a good thing at all.

Formula 1 once again at their finest. "I know! Let's put our heads together to figure out how to make this boring race even more boring!"

It's so typical. Let's mess with the things everyone actually enjoys... like qually and not mess with the things they need to like having some communication on the track to know you don't need a safety car.

Think RB will let Ricardo take a practice session? Think Mercedes will eat Ferrari's lunch...again? This Fernando will start pushing Perez back to third and give Max a wake up call? Think Alfa Romeo and Haas will swap drivers and still get the same result? Will it get worse for McLaren and Zac Brown will be gone before race four? Is Fernando the only thing that keeps us watching?

No on the Fernando issue. It's gonna be both RedBull's 1 and 2. Fernando will be 3rd on most tracks. IF he wins 1 race, it is because RedBull had both cars retire(DNF's or self-inflicted)

I hate to admit it, but you more most likely correct here.

Unless there's multiple SCs and rain of course.

I'm not sure what the current regs say on letting driver do a practice session...I believe it has to be a young driver? No idea.

Mercedes eating Ferrari's lunch...well if Jeddah and Bahrain is anything to go by...unfortunately yes. They'll be in a tight battle this season I think.
Alonso to push Perez will very much depend on both teams' Baku upgrades. Aston needs to make a pretty big push though for that to happen I imagine, last 2 races as evidence.
Alfa/Haas/Alpha Tauri drivers swap will more or less have the same results...a very tight battle and a tenth will make the difference.
I think Mclaren will get better (not that they can actually get worse at this point). Baku upgrade is much talked about but it REALLY has to be good. If it's still hopeless, Zak needs to hire someone to replace him and let him find sponsors, as he's genuinely good at that.
