Still playing with cam timing. Front bank is such a pain, I might have been East to pull the engine and do this on the bench lol. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are you trying to get to stock timing, or a modified spec? If you are going for spot on stock timing, I would be interested to see how the factory marks line up when you are done.

This was cool for me to see for the first time. Such beautiful engineering.…and then I razor bladed the undercarriage gasket…not so beautiful.
Kent! Thank you! I’m just an amateur….zero… I mean absolutely zero automotive education…I research, do and hope I made the mark for the brand and this special little machine. Nylon nuts, copper washers and oil are en route. Gearbox pan gasket arrived from AW Italian; they provide such great service. I rethreaded one of the 6mm pan bolts after filing, by hand, half of a stuck nut. Time and pressure… As always, I hope for a good outcome. At a minimum, I’ll have a new gasket and cleaned pan. Thank you, again.
Truth. 100%. I tend to pause before I post something in consideration of looking the fool. The search function is my friend in search of those without such hesitations.
I agree. Those dowels are not easy. I purchased some nice new cam pulley's from Dino Parts in Germany.
Installed pan with new gasket coated with copper spray. The springs and ball bearings were a fun balancing act. Added oil. Why I like the smell of gear oil is beyond me.
Just an observation, not criticising. The nycloc nuts arn’t fully seated .Washers too thick ? Or studs too short ( if you have meddled with the placement of them ) . I will post a pic of mine done by a reputable U.K. F Indy .
@Dane . Image Unavailable, Please Login Yours ^ . Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Mine note the stud length regarding the nuts .Mine are normal nuts with spring washers . Realise the shots are @ different angles perspective wise .But yours look wrong .The nuts are too tall .
Good observation! I also pondered the same. My thinking, right or wrong, is to leave them be if I don’t see a problem like seepage. The copper washers are thin. Meanwhile, I’ll search for shorter nylon lock nuts just in case. Thanks for the feedback.
