575 manual watch, Europe

There's an awful lot of uncertainty here.

 

Anyone see what the 575 on CC got to then?

High mileage factory manual 575s do not get much love. These cars are rarely being bought to be driven (oh the irony!). I remember clearly back in 2015/16 when the mania for manual 575s kicked off suddenly out of the blue, low mileage 575 manuals were going for ~300k and then a 50K+ miles car sat unsold for $150k for months and ultimately sold around 120-135K range if I remember correctly.

 

It was at £88,500 with 2 hours to go but I had to go out.

The listing has been removed now, they don't no sales being searchable.

 

You can see the listing from the link in your original post. High bid was £94,500 (with no guarantee it was from a genuine bidder, of course).

 

And oddly, this is one of the reasons why Porsches (for example) are over valued compared with cars like the 575.

Let me give you an example- I’ve been chatting with a pal this evening about him buying a 550 or a 575. He’s not familiar with the market, but was struck by the wide difference in pricing, which I mainly put down to the cars being very sensitive to spec (all else being equal). This makes it generally quite hard to price these cars, whereas conversely the 911 market is so well nailed down that a specialist can price a car competitively within a few hundred pounds on 70k. A touch too high and nobody will bite; a touch too low and the car will sell in days.

I know there’s other factors at work here, but this certainty in pricing makes 911’s a much more liquid commodity than a 575. That in turn helps their value.

Possibly. I guess another way of putting it is that liquidity has a value in itself, and the picky buyers/specification sensitivity, reduces that liquidity.

 

M8 with that color just go ahead and buy it. No need for a PPI.

With Grigio Alloy you just ask where to sign the papers .

 

I went in a different direction and bought an FF. Which I'm delighted with as I can use it way more than I could a 575, as much as I love them.

Low miles, possibly explained by the last service being in 2016.

no FHP would put me off any 575

 

My 575 without fhp rides great! I have a 2002. The original suspension ecu was atrocious, but with upgrade to 205619, it transformed the ride.

I did install the fhp ecu which was also nice, but not transformative to the degree of the suspension ecu.

I have the fhp springs, but havent been compelled to install since it rides so well as is for the road.

 

Bars are now available from Ferrari skunk works I believe?

So with some electronics and a bit of steel you can get FHP handling relatively cheaply.
So, from a drivers point of view I think the FHP mystique is overhyped. I would buy the best car I could and then instal the ECUs and make it handle how I wanted, as Ffre92 has done.

However, from a collectors point of view, factory FHP probably adds something to the value.
One could try to crunch the numbers from known sales but there are many other variables and few sales.

Sadly the collector who wants the perfect low mileage car with the correct options is unlikely to drive the car so handling is immaterial to his/her ownership.

 

F- What FHP ECU did you install? There are none that I am aware of. The 550 had an FHP shock ECU, but not the 575M. My 201674 was marked FHP, but that is not in the parts catalogs.

Seth- Post AN 52556 575Ms do not really need FHP, especially post AN 55769 575Ms.

Graham- Looks like around 15% of 575Ms had FHP from my small data base. Higher in the UK, but insufficient data for a number.

 

I meant the fhp steering ecu 175891. It firmed up the steering at speed. It feels really nice, but not a must have like the updated shock ecu

 

It does look good.
Though I wonder if Sabia is too light for a Grigio Titanio exterior?
That said, you can’t spec a second hand car

RHD 2003 Manual 575 - FHP - 31,000 miles Nero Daytona over sabbia.

Not much to dislike about this one, mileage not so low it's a collectors piece, not so high that it puts people off.

Will be a reasonable barometer of the value of a tidy driver in the UK marketplace
