New season, tons of really good free agents, I was shocked to see how LITTLE some of these guys are being paid.... Gardner Minshew 677K Tony Pollard 800K Darius Slayton 690K Marlon Mack 1 mill Marcus Cannon 1.2 mill https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/all/
If Carr goes to the Jets the NY media will eat him alive if he plays like he did this last year. He'll understand his best days were in Vegas and Oakland.
I think Dan Snyder is trying to win brownie points with the NFL front office. Hiring an OC is one thing, but if he doesn't have HIS assistants - just like a HC - it doesn't mean much.
Owners approve plan to allow a team to appear twice each season on Thursday Night Football. Worst idea ever. I wish they would eliminate TNF entirely.
The Lions have 2,000 picks in the 2023 draft and continue to baffle everyone...that RB as their first pick? Eagles load up on defense.
I know, Detroit is WEAK in the Secondary - and they take a RB? Detroit had no real problems scoring points last season, stopping their opponents was the BIG issue. There were a few headscratchers besides Detroit as well, Jets taking a LB? Their defense was good, they don't have a TE, Seattle taking a WR that early? Baltimore taking Trey Flowers? He better be the second coming of Tyreek Hill, because Baltimore doesn't have a big physical WR that can go up and get a ball in the corner of the end zone... Dallas takes a Lineman? LOL Philly had a GREAT draft! But there are warning signs about Carter, and I don't mean the legal issues: 'He was nine pounds heavier at his pro day than he was at the NFL combine about two weeks prior and couldn't finish his position drills.' Lazy? Dedication?
Carter will get schooled by Philly teammates and his big brothers on the squad from Georgia. He does need to drop 20 lbs.
I wonder if the Philadelphia team should be renamed the Bulldogs. They certainly have plenty of Georgia players!
If the Iggles don't win a SB in the next 3 years, they won't win one for awhile... As with all great teams, you will lose some key guys that want to get PAID. I hope Swift stays healthy - he's a great back, and he's key to you winning, you have not had a back like that since Shady in his prime.
I figure between Penny and Swift combined, they should be good for a total of 10-12 injury free games this season.
And Shady was from my hometown - Steelton. His family moved to Harrisburg when he was a kid and he went to Bishop McDevitt - the Catholic school in Harrisburg. Frank Reich, head coach of Panthers is also from Steelton...long history of his football family going back to Gibby, a QB is the 50's who was high school All-America.
Isn't it kinda funny how there have been a few RB's in the last 10-12 years that were INCREDIBLE - And they just kinda faded away almost overnight? Shady was one. Clinton Portis. Jamaal Charles. Michael Turner. Steven Jackson. Chris Johnson. Thomas Jones. Demarco Murray. Todd Gurley. A few others I cannot think of.... Zeke was cut a month ago, AFAIK nobody has signed him....
Well, my best friend's team has the toughest schedule, my favorite team has the second toughest. And the locals down here have the easiest. Let's see how this pans out. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nope, just average Christians from Delaware County. I met him when he was a college student interning at Boeing Helicopter. A year later I convinced him to attend the Canadian GP with me and he became a big Nigel Mansell fan. He's more of a Phillies fan than an Eagles fan.
