One of a kind, all original 1979 Mazda 626. Rare Coupe with 5 Speed manual transmission. Like New, Museum Quality, you will not find a cleaner and more original out there. On top of that, it has an amazing combination of paint color, two tone interior colors, and blacked out bumpers & trim.

Winner of 1st place awards at 2019 JCCS show and also JDM at ADM 2019.

Factory workshop manual included, along with some other important general documentation.

Runs and drives like new, no issues, no squeaks or rattles. Has 59,000 original miles, but presents as a car with 5,900 miles, Just passed smog check, registration good until 2/23.

I am second owner, bought it about 4 years ago, and added about 1,000 miles in that time.

Original California car, currently located in Los Angeles. $36,000 USD dollars. Open to serious offers.

Oddly, I find this Mazda more interesting than the next 10 cars listed for sale here. It is unique, but it wasn't unique. A quick google suggests 150,000 were made in 1979. It was humdrum: yet the care given to this car made it unique, and without modifying the car. It is an astoundingly interesting turn of fate. And a cool car!

I nearly bought one of these brand new in 1983. I bought the new Honda Prelude instead.

That's a very cool time capsule!

I can attest to the safety of this chassis… my adventurous brother launched one of these hatchback model over a curb and into a business loading bay at 70 mph. He walked away.. and found another party a block away many years ago.

    great car.

Had a very similar situation and car with my Fuego last year.
    Thought I was holding gold.
Turns out the BaT agreed it was probably a .0000000000000000000000000001% of actual gold worth :)

GLWS here. Shoot for the stars.

If you truly want to sell this car, you're going to have to price it reasonably. The most expensive Mazda 626 in the country is less than $10k. I suggest you lower your price to $9k and see what happens. Listing it for more than it cost new is admirable but unless it's an exotic or a sports car, pretty unrealistic.

I believe that the only interested party in this car is the one trying to sell it.

    Cool time capsule? Absolutely.

But it’s a car from a time where the industry was recovering from a gas crisis and grappling with increased safety and emissions regulations. It’s just not going to appeal to this audience.

I have been out of the country since late last year, so the car was basically off the market. But now I'm actively trying to sell it again. Price lowered to $24,000

It's an interesting car in amazing shape, but a Maserati GS posted here with the same miles ended up being sold on Bat for 19.5k

    Have you tried Bat?
You need the biggest audience to sell this....

Mazda's North American headquarters are in Irvine, CA and they have a large collection of heritage cars in their basement garage. I would suggest you try contacting someone there about purchasing your car. Be prepared to accept less money with the upside being that the car will have the best possible home.
