Ferrari coming to Sebring in a 12-hour race and placing third is a superhuman feat. People do not realize how brutal Sebring is as a racing surface. It is unlike anything in Europe.
Hats off to Ferrari but also AF Corsa. Imagine taking a race car to Sebring without any real data and finishing third in a class is just incredible.

That was not the 12 hours (which was IMSA if I understood correctly), but the 1,000 miles, reduced to 8 hours because of multiple FCY / SCs.
Still a great achievement by Ferrari to be beaten only by the reigning Toyota; just a pity that some erratic management penalized their second car.

I know the preliminary BoP Up to Le Mans has been decided but I thought the outcome of the first two races would lead to adjustments for the rest. Maybe you know something more?

    From https://us.motorsport.com/wec/news/wec-hypercar-bop-for-first-four-rounds-of-2023-announced/10441516/

A new set of guidelines governing the BoP has been introduced for 2023 when the new LMDhs go up against Le Mans Hypercars in the WEC for the first time, though the document is not in the public domain.

Last year, the BoP between the LMHs could be changed every two rounds based on data accrued if there were enough laps undertaken in dry conditions.

It is understood that now only the balance between the two different types of car will be adjusted if necessary, on the basis of data from the first two events.

The first 2023 BoP bulletin from the FIA’s Endurance Committee states that the BoP tables as published are “until further notice”.

I am pretty sure that LeMans has its own BoP separate from the other races. I know some classes have had LeMans specific bodywork but I don't know if that is a thing in Hypercar/LMDh.

There are BOP changes for every race, to adapt to the characteristics of each track. But it's been already decided before the season started.

All this in theory, of course, ACO often change their plans without previous notice.

Locals refer to the long track as the 12-hour It was the WEC.

It is the same thing with Daytona. If you say I drove Daytona everyone assumes you did the full Nascar oval. You have to say the 24-hour road course then you have to follow up with the one with the double horseshoe. Do you know what I am talking about? They just stare at you.

I saw the Porsche Hypercar up close. It is beautiful. The pictures of these cars do not represent them very well. I am not saying the other cars are not beautiful. The Porsche is the only one I have seen in person.

Was watching this yesterday first vid where you can hear the car properly:).

Am reviewing whether to go to Portimao or Spa but I think the actual viewing would be better at Spa. Portimao is not as good for viewing as
it is for driving plus I can drive up to Spa instead of flying and renting a car.

In this video are both, the FERRARI 499P and the PORSCHE 963 LMDh testing at Spa in the rain!
The sound of the Porsche is better than of the Ferrari for me.
