    hello everybody,
I removed the cover of all 5 toggle switches to paint them. The 3 on the left (suspension, fog light and window heater) are latching.

After having them painted, i reinstalled everthing but 2 of the latching switches are not latching anymore. There is a spring with 2 plastic pieces each side which push into the cover to make it latching...

Does somebody of you knows how to install it to engage this plastic pins properly? I tried now for an hour but was not able to make it...

    thanks for all good advices

realised that the cover is the culprit. Even all 8 (on a GTB) have the same serial number, 3 of them are latching, 5 are non latching...

to get the covers onto the toggle switches, ACTIVATE the switch while snap the cover onto the toggle switch

hello, how do you get the switches out? do you have to take the console off? My switches click but do not stay in position. Are they supposed to just click or click and stay? thanks! just got a 97 spider 2 days ago.

You'll need to remove the shifter trim and unplug all the switches. Then you can push them out from the backside, not easy but they will pop out. If any of your switches do not work, we have a bunch of used ones here.

The doorlocks do not stay in position. Nor do the spider roof and electric seats. The foglight, suspension and mirror heat do.

hey thanks for the info!! I suspected they were supposed stay in position. Its gotta be the spring, the light comes on the dash for the suspension or lights but the switch doesnt hold in position.
