355 355 Carbon Sport Seats Picture/Discussion Thread (Worldwide)

Hi all. I wanted an F355 ever since I was a child and looked for many many years until I found one in the spec I wanted : a manual 2.7 car with the pre-airbag steering wheel and the carbon seats.

Correct yes. However since then it has had a full bare metal respray (the paint wasn’t great) in the same factory original colour; the aftermarket speakers have been removed and the door cards returned to factory; a cambelt and major service and lots and lots of other niggles fixed before going to NVN for full PPF and ceramic (no longer any part of JWWs business I hear….). So a LOT of money spent but this is what we do for the loves in our life….

I actually got a call back from CC a few months ago saying a collector has contacted them to ask if I was interested in selling. It was a polite no….

For sale last year, one of most beautiful I ever seen #105314. Unfortunately with sterring wheel at the wrong place

Looks like very similar seats to mine. On the options mine are also described as black inserts (I have blue carpets too) but in real life looks a lot more like a grey-blue. Works very very well.

How were they originaly please ? Do you have photo ?

 

Does anyone have experience with freshening up the carbon seat backs? I am pulling the interior out for a deep clean and wondering if I should do anything or not. No cracks or damage, just loss of gloss from age. On another note, I can't believe how nice the leather is. No need for any dye - just a clean/condition. Will post photos when I see the car next.

Periodically, I have the paint shop prep and clear coat my carbon fiber Challenge wing. Tire marbles thrown up at my car take their toll on the wing's finish.

Some buffing might be all your seats need.
