Not sure which part you are agreeing to, but... Here's the wiring for the ECU bypass (using the centre console switch) https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/147612383/
Amended bypass diagram: Image Unavailable, Please Login The light in the switch won't work, but will be ok as a temporary fix. Caveats. None of the original safety features work (including the park brake). You'll need lots of wires, splices, sockets and things. The secondary rams won't work, so you'll have to move the roof manually for the final closing stage. Disconnect the plugs on the ECU to prevent interference with the bypass. Do not cut any old wiring. I've shown the pin numbering for the top opening button plug (car side), but I can't remember if I drew the contact (socket) side or the wire side of the plug.
The revised diagram is still a little confusing. For clarity, you're attaching the new wires to the console switch, not to the console switch plug. The old switch plug won't be used. Image Unavailable, Please Login Amended graphic... Image Unavailable, Please Login You'll have to string two wires from the console switch to the bypass switch plug. Leave the bypass switch itself disconnected.
If the console switch flat/bladed pins are the same as Bosch relay pins, you may be able to buy (female) sockets from somewhere e.g. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161608134760?
Amended amended amended.... diagram. Image Unavailable, Please Login The switch, of course, is rectangular and doesn't match the shape of the plug.
UPDATE -SOLVED Woke up with an idea.. I pulled the seats and opened each pot meter to ensure they both were not broken. The passenger seat was reading correctly 4.40 KOHMS full forward. The Driver seat was not close to 4.40. I manually adjusted it as close as I could to 4.40. It landed @ 4.35. Put it all back together and it the top works both up and down. I hope this helps solve similar challenges for other FChat members. Big thanks to Qavion ...
Well, logically, it doesn't make sense (as we previously discussed). If the ECU is happy with seat position for the roof to go up, it should be happy for the roof to go down. Perhaps the pots were right on the margin (but I'd expect the problem to be intermittent in this case). I wonder if the Ferrari SD1 Tool has a seat calibration setting for up and for down? Anyway, sounds like a win to me... You may have saved yourself thou$ands.
