We're only doing 19mm rears ATM, however we may go larger once we see how the 19's are working out. The 550 & 575M already have plenty enough ASB up front for their suspensions unless you're full on tracking your car. Here's a link to Daniel @ Ricambi's post for the pricing: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/149012127/ Please contact him to order & thanks for your interest.
Or other work papers (flight plans and such) that had a real original purpose, but are now a truly useful foundation for something greater!
Bingo. (I also get the heebie-jeebies if I am holding customer money too far in advance of the product arriving in my stocks.)
The first batch of pre-order swaybars have been shipped and will begin arriving to customers this weekend! Although I don't have product photos online just yet, I did use my Dall-E "skunk" image for the MSW bars on our website, and they are available for purchase now: https://www.ricambiamerica.com/210888m-rear-anti-roll-bar-msw.html (This first batch was a somewhat limited production quantity; if we run out of stock on these, the next batch is probably about 4 weeks away -- late April-ish)
Love it. I can’t wait to get some seat time in my 456 before trying to see if we can jam this bar in there.
Just a side question re fitment - is it common for the bolts holding the rear clamps onto the chassis to be welded?
Guys, I have to apologize for a minor omission in these ASB kits. The “D” bushing clamps for the OEM bars each have one captive bolt/screw that has been welded to the clamp itself (@Timmo it is NOT, however, welded to the frame, ). So when the OEM bar and its D block clamps are removed, that captive screw in each clamp will be “lost” for the new bar installation. There still will be one OEM screw per clamp that can be reused, however. In my haste to get these kits together and on their way, I neglected to tell my shop to include these extra screws/washers/nuts. Only two of them will be required and I am ordering them today and should have them by early next week and will forward them on. To be clear, this has nothing to do with Daniel or Ricambi; this is 100% on me.
Thanks John for the clarification and sorry for the poor wording - I meant the bolts are welded to the clamps as you described, not welded to the frame.
@Cribbj - Arrived in California this morning. Looks great! Just to clarify are you sending the additional bolts separately? Thanks for all your efforts putting this all together. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Anthony, yes, I've now received the hardware and it'll be going out today to you guys, FedEx Express. For any of you who are eager to get these bars on your cars ASAP, without waiting for this hardware to arrive, here's what you'll need: (2) Class 10.9, bolts, M8x1.00 x 25mm (4) Class 10.9 flat washers (2) Class 10.9 M8x1.00 Nyloc nuts
(For those awaiting hardware, it is shipping on FedEx 2-day air, so you'll have it Wednesday at the same addresses where the bars were delivered. PM me if you need tracking numbers)
Yes, although this was my mistake, Daniel was kind enough to arrange & pay the shipping for these parts. Many thanks to a standup guy!
For those of you who didn't pre-order, we have taken delivery of more stock at Ricambi : https://www.ricambiamerica.com/210888m-rear-anti-roll-bar-msw.html I think we'll have some more installation pictures and road-impressions from fellow Fchatters pretty soon!
Definitely can’t wait to hear how you guys like these. I hope you’re as blown away as I was the first time I drove the car with one
First owner who gets a bar installed & writes about it gets an MSW sticker to put on your toolbox, car, drink cup, GF's derriere, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Apologies to anyone who finds a pic of a pretty girl offensive or out of place in this thread/forum. If so, PM me & I'll have 20 minutes from posting to delete it. After that it's a moderator issue. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I haven’t found the 456/550/575 crowd to be terribly prudish I’m waiting on an appointment, so I doubt I’ll be the first to weigh in, but I’ll certainly offer a detailed account when the time comes!
Got mine this week including the extra hardware (while on the road with the girls for spring break). love the little sticker amidship. thanks! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I installed my Skunk 19mm sway bar today. Easy install but all 4 D block bolts were welded so, a trip to Lowe’s. A quick trip up and down the “copperhead highway” aka AL highway 28 out of Leeds, AL( very near Barber Motorsports Park) confirmed to me that the bar is a significant improvement over stock. The car now handles like it formerly did in “sport” when in normal mode. It is flatter and less tail happy. When in “sport” mode, the improvement is even more obvious with neutral handling. No push, no oversteer in aggressive driving on a good road. The ride seems tighter but certainly not uncomfortable. A good investment!
"Easy install but all 4 D block bolts were welded so, a trip to Lowe’s." ****** Are there different "grades" of bolts and nuts? My experience with Lowe's and HD screws and other fixation hardware is that the metal strength is marginal. Good enough for Ferrari suspension?
