    All the major bridges have designated hollowed out spaces in them for demolition, too. Explosives magazines are situated within a few minutes' drive away.

    Yep. Although 2km would be more than enough. In fact the Viggen could operate from less than half even that.

    Need a little bit more strength than an average road to handle a 20 ton fighter, though.
    It’s not a C172.

    Huge aircraft, but not exactly a fighter!

    I think the F15 is pretty heavy - maybe around half that?

    I vaguely recall max takeoff is around 2300lb, so a bit over a tonne.

    Correct. Only the lightest of light aircraft (like, say, a C172) can land at their max takeoff weight.
