Obviously less than ideal weather forecast for Augusta, as today will be the only benign day: Today - 86 F/30 C with a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms, S winds 5-10 MPH, and 40% chance of rain overnight. Friday - 79 F/26 C with 90% chance of showers & thunderstorms, shifting winds 10-15 MPH, and 100% chance of rain overnight. Saturday - 51 F/11 C with 100% chance of possibly heavy rain, NE winds 10-20 MPH, and 100% chance of more rain overnight. Sunday - 58 F/14 C with cloudy and a slight chance of a shower, NE winds 10-15 MPH. The 35 degreee temperature drop may seem extreme but it does occur occasionally here in Georgia due to topography and the relative nearness of the ocean; they call it a "wedge". Normal high temp for Augusta should be about 76 F.
Usually some relatively obscure guy bolts out of the pack and posts a 65 on first day...and then immediately fades away. Rob, ever been to AN? The elevation changes are brutal for a guy in Tiger's condition. Before they added 20+ yards to #5, I think it played 455 yards from championship tees. Last time we were there, (when I was about an 11 hdcp.), I told the guys with me I could tee it up 20 times on #5 and maybe make one par...and that would have been a chip in.
I also don't believe Tiger deserves any excuses now, if he does then let's use being an ass, training with Navy Seals, pill popping, cheating and doing whores, and crashing his car as reasons he isn't that good anymore.

I absolutely hate the chat with Rory crap they're doing right now. I like my Masters coverage the old fashioned way.
LIV players haven't done well since last update. Current placing LIV Players (change since last update)... I wonder if playing 54 could work against players when they get to Sunday. It's got to get them at least somewhat out of practice, but then again they've all played 72 for so long it may not matter. Either way, I'll definitely be tuning in to catch some of the tourney this weekend.
the golf commentators are asking that, I don't think 72 is a problem vs. 54, I think most of these guys not playing as many tournaments and practicing as much is a larger impact.
A little rain delay, but thankfully coverage is ESPN now. The Golf channel commentators are so anti-LIV. Now that Koepka is in the lead and several others Top 20 then the story has changed from "LIV players can't play well anymore" vs. "it will take more tournaments to determine PGA vs. LIV". What ********. The PGA starlets are struggling Scheffler T29 and McIlroy T61. Top LIV players... 1 Koepka T10 Mickelson T10 Niemann T10 Reed I think there will be a solid argument going forward if LIV players will be more competitive Masters because they have less grind during the year and the 4 majors will mean that much more to them.
I am very sad that this is turning into a 'LIV vs PGA' thread, I didn't intend that, and if I recall, The Masters is not run by the PGA, it's totally run by its' own organization??? People also seem to forget that the LIV has forced the PGA to pay its' players better, the PGA has made quite a few changes in the last year... all because of the LIV. That being said, golf is golf, no matter who is playing.
you can be sad if you want, but not surprised, that's all Golf Channel and ESPN talks about too when broadcasting the Masters. Golf is exciting again, even if for the wrong reasons.
this is turning into a very interesting Masters. now as they are finishing up round 2 in the heavy rain there are several big players dropping shots and maybe not making cut.
