Prime rib was a little over cooked for my liking. 10lb roast and we miscalculated cooking time for rare. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Easter with family, means Lamb for us. This was a pair of Lamb Legs that were marinated overnight in thyme, rosemary, dijon, white wine and garlic (a recipe my Dad used to make for the family 40 years ago - would make him smile to know we continued his Easter Sunday tradition). Served with scalloped potatoes and roasted brussels with bacon and maple syrup. My brother's wife made a couple of Lemon Meringue pies. I supplied a flight of QPR 2016 Bordeaux. Great family gathering, everyone was happy...well, except maybe the 4-legged family that were put outside during dinner... Beef dip with the leftovers last night. Might have the same for lunch. It is raining here again. Tonight's plan is grilled cheese and tomato soup or maybe chicken noodle.
Last night we had a turkey dinner. Took advantage of the sales on Turkey and bought two. I'm probably driving to the States this afternoon. Depending on snowing in the mountains or not. If yes, then it is a stop for Chick-Fil-A as dinner.
Per Google there are 10 IKEA stores in Australia! Don't forget the lignonberry jelly to go with! [emoji6] In Greensboro for work. Ate a Peruvian restaurant. We shared a bunch of plates. I have an Ikea 2 miles from me. So they serve it there ? If so OK . I have been to Ikea many times but never eat there.
The IKEA I've been to in the States have a cafeteria, usually on the top floor. I like their Swedish meatballs. The sauce is a creamy brown sauce rather than a tomato-based gravy...T
Ikea here has cafeterias. My cousin now retired was RCMP (police) and her station was near an Ikea. She and her fellow cops ate there all the time. Didn't go to the states. Had fried chicken with macaroni salad as a side. Thinking of dinner for tonight. Maybe sushi. My favorite restaurant is running a 20% off pick-up orders sale. Or get pizza delivered.
