Cool idea, lots of great 17" tire options, but normally 17" wheels look a bit out of place on a 3x8 to me. I'd like to see a set on a car

I wish they’d do the QV wheels in 16 inch and make the rears more concave like the original factory ones. The Superformance ones still aren’t right to my eye. Like you said though, would love to see these on a real 308/328.

I don't know that I have any real basis for it, but these feel like Testarossa wheels, not quite right for the 308. Too modern looking? Too smooth?

I have a perfect set of pre 88.5 328 wheels, if anyone wants them

I would have concerns of offset on those wheels. They look like extremely positive offset.

I normally say that gold wheels, like the Superformance reps, or coffin-spoke replicas, or BBS mesh wheels, always look fantastic on a 308. Those things you posted are the extreme exception to that rule!!!!

It would be nice to know if they will work on ABS cars. I have Compos on my 89 328, specifically made for an 89. ( dont ask, I got fortunate ) I like these wheels because they look better than the convex that came on ABS models. Im not interested in buying a set, Im just curious. I got a message from the Ebay seller, he said they would fit, Im not so sure. If they do fit, it would be nice for the guys who want to up grade their 328s that are ABS. With 9 inch wide in the rears, and 8 inch wide in the fronts, with the right set of tires, the 328s handling and mechanical grip is incredible.

The Seller is wrong, or just doesn't know. The same wheel can not fit both a non-abs 328 and an abs 328 well -- the wheel offsets that the chassis are designed for are just too different.

They might "fit" an '89 car, but would look like this.

Here are some 17" HRE 505M wheels that I had made for my QV. Modernish version but reminiscent of the original style. Fronts are 8" width, rears are 9" width. The offsets definitely look different than the originals, but they fit properly on the car with no rubbing, and the difference in handling, with more rubber on the road, is very noticeable. Bridgestone Potenza tires.

If they're still in pre-production, then you can't get them for your car... yet!

BUT... I put my 308 into the "compatibility" portion of that listing, and it says they wouldn't fit anyway!!!

I made a set of 17s for another forum member's 308 a few years ago, I thought hey looked good but I'm clearly bias....and did 18s for my own car.
