    Due to unrest and strike.

I have never been to Paris and I prefer to see it in all its glory, not with piled up garbage etc as is reported in the media due to strikes.

What is it really like on the ground? Anyone care to comment on how long this could last?

What can you tell me about the Four Season George V?

    Merci Beaucoup

There are strikes in Paris and piled up garbage are now less not to say no more .
They social bad mood should continue but trend is now reduction . However we will never know what could happen next.
The mess to me in Paris are traffic jam due to Mme Hildago who manage Paris with landscaping works on roads which cause a mess.
However Paris is still a beautiful town to visit.
Regarding the George V , one of the top palace , so you should not be disappointed

Presumably after the new court ruling there will be more civil disobedience & more strikes (eg metro/bus - possibly their use was not in OP's plans anyway but civil servants might prevent museums opening)
