Buy an Autel or a Launch with the latest updates. They work just fine for under $1000. If your car is a 99 or 2000 you may have communication problems with the 1st version Marelli ecu's. For those you may need a Leo..

your best bet is to upgrade your TCU and ECU and then buy a Thinkdiag1 or Thnkdiag2
The cost will be less than a good autel and your car will perform better and you will be ale to read the TCU etc

Is upgrading the tcu and ecu just a swap of hardware? Where do I buy these? I asked foxwell diag, they might have something that support my old 360 for $159. Foxwell NT530 OE-Level & Bi-Directional Scanner Upgraded Version Of NT510 Elite & NT520 Pro . I will find out very soon.

Upgrading is updating software in the ECU and most likely changing hardware / upgrading software on TCU

I doubt very much it will work .. since it doesn't have to do with the equipment but how the data is not available on the data bus that is read thru OBD port

remember to get the best outcome . you will need a TCU and ECU update .. if TCU is too old you will also need a different TCU .. they will guide you for sure
